Best Props to Possess in Midnight Ghost Hunt (1.0), Ranked

Make it to midnight as Ghosts by using the best props in Midnight Ghost Hunt.

When playing as a Ghost, a large part of your gameplay comes from the ability to possess props. Of course, not every prop is as good of a choice as others. Some props even serve special purposes, making them situational. So, here are the best props to possess in Midnight Ghost Hunt (1.0), ranked.

Midnight Ghost Hunt: Best Props to Possess in 1.0

I’ve grouped all props to possess in MGH into three categories since each map has different props available: large props, small props, and special props. Each prop type has a different use, and the special props, in particular, offer unique abilities to use against Hunters. But one type of props reigns supreme if you want to make it to midnight on the Ghost team.

Worst: Large Props

The large props are good if you want to launch them at Hunters and deal damage. Aside from that, they’re hard to maneuver, and it’s impossible to run away while possessing them. Their size makes it easy for Hunters to test if they’re possessed, even if that’s by accidentally hitting the props. Additionally, they aren’t a good choice to use if you plan on trying to stay still and wait out the timer. Possessing one prop and not moving for long enough produces ectoplasm, and it’s much more noticeable with large props than with small ones.

Average: Special Props

You might think that the special props would be the best since you have unique abilities with them. For example, you can attack with the suit of armor’s sword or fire cannonballs as the cannon. However, they have the same downfalls as the large props because every special prop is large in size. There are a few interesting ways you can use them, though. While waiting for Hunters to arrive, moving special props to their spawn point usually makes the Hunters believe those props are possessed. It wastes time for them, and it gives the Ghosts more time to set up traps or launch an unexpected attack with different props.

Best: Small Props

Small props have quite a few advantages over larger props. First, ectoplasm is harder to notice when it builds up, meaning you can stay in one place longer without worrying as much. Second, you can wedge yourself into corners and appear less noticeable when waiting out the timer to midnight. And third, a lot of small props are super easy to walk past as a Hunter without even testing if it’s possessed.

I played one round as a candlestick, moving around a hall with other candles placed there and repositioning them when the Hunters weren’t there. Because I fit right in, the Hunters didn’t even check if the candles were possessed. This let me wait out the timer to midnight, reviving my Ghost team for a round of revenge on the Hunters.

And that covers the best props to possess in Midnight Ghost Hunt (1.0), ranked. Part of the fun with the props is moving a bunch of them into different places, regardless of size, to make them appear possessed. Looking for more tips?
