Here's my tier list of the best weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, including their respective crafting recipes.

There are hundreds of weapons in LaD: Infinite Wealth. But in Chapter 4, you unlock weapon crafting, which offers more unique opportunities. Here, I list all the best weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, including their complete crafting recipes.

What are the Best Weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

All weapons listed below can be crafted at Julie’s Gearworks. I added the crafting recipe to each weapon for quick reference. Note that each weapon requires a default weapon of the given character and their exclusive job to be crafted where applicable.

Scepter of Oblivion

Some Infinite Wealth weapons are meant to be used directly, while others must only be equipped. That’s how I discovered the Scepter of Oblivion, a magic weapon exclusive to Yu Nanba’s Homeless Guy job. It has the highest magic damage in the game at 202 points, and I don’t even have to swing it once. All that’s required is casting magic spells, such as Pigeon Raid, Pigeon Storm, or Essence of Big-Ass Bird, with Scepter of Oblivion being equipped, and all these spells will acquire the attributes of the weapon. That’s why I consider this weapon to be the best in the game!

  • 1 Homeless Guy’s Cane
  • 15 Lava Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Shark Fin

Paradise Maracas

If you like the sound of the Scepter of Oblivion but don’t want to recruit Yu Nanba, then I suggest Paradise Maracas. This weapon has a much wider application in the game, as it’s exclusive to female characters who’ve chosen the Geodancer job. It has the same stats and abilities as the Scepter of Oblivion but also adds extra Evasion to your physical attacks. I find this essential when actually applying physical damage and not just a magical one. When fighting a group of enemies, I can both deal 178 physical damage and dodge their attacks. I noticed that this ability is especially effective with the Kolohe Kick attack.

  • 1 Geodancer’s Maracas
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Shark Fin

Nightstone Nunchaku

If you want a simple yet powerful physical weapon for any male character, get Nightstone Nunchaku. It’s an exclusive melee weapon for the Action Star job, with the highest physical attack in the game at 202 points. A true kung-fu classic with a twist that can damage both single and multiple targets at once. I found that the latter effect can be achieved with the Swirling Dragon’s Throw attack. If done right, this one won’t leave a single enemy on their feet.

  • 1 Action Star’s Nunchaku
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Shark Fin

A-Tier Infinite Wealth Weapons

Ulysses Butterfly Whip

Ulysses Butterfly Whip is just as powerful as Nightstone Nunchaku in terms of physical damage, but not as versatile, unfortunately. Although you can give it to any female character with the Night Queen job, it has a few limitations. For example, it procs its highest damage during the Whip Service attack. I use it to instantly knock out an enemy. It’s a very powerful hit, but I wish other skills would have the same effect, too. Still, it’s a great weapon to have if you play as the Night Queen, so don’t miss out on it.

  • 1 Night Queen’s Whip
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Squid Tentacle

Price of Star Night

Here’s a great alternative to Scepter of Oblivion for all male magic builds with the Host job. Price of Star Night has similar stats, but as a Host, you can’t actually apply your magic damage attribute to any of your skills. Note that it’s still a highly useful magic weapon! But I still recommend focusing on using your skills to boost the damage of the weapon and not the other way around, as was the case with the Homeless Guy job. Once again, it all comes down to whether you want to recruit Yu Nanba for that exclusive weapon of his or not.

  • 1 Host’s Sparkling Wine
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Squid Tentacle

Treasure Sword of Heaven and Earth

The Treasure Sword of Heaven and Earth stands against the Nightstone Nunchaku. Although both weapons perform exceptionally well, and I’ve used them interchangeably, the Treasure Sword of Heaven and Earth can only be equipped by Tianyou Zhao in the Gangster job. This puts too much strain on my strategy, personally, but if you already have this character on your roster, then giving him this weapon is the best choice. All of its attacks ignore resistances. While in the process of eliminating a whole group of enemies, I can use this weapon with Whirling Blade Dance and Sanguine Blade Dance attacks for some truly remarkable AoE effects.

  • 1 Gangster’s Saber
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Shark Fin

B-Tier infinite Wealth Weapons

Valkyrie Needles

How about some physical ranged weapons? The Valkyrie Needles can really hurt from a distance if you play as Seonhee with her exclusive Assassin job. On top of that, these throwing needles can charm enemies, turning them to your side, as well as inflict the Cold status effect. I think this is a really neat little weapon that will serve you well in various situations.

  • 1 Assassin’s Needles
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Shark Fin

Full-Drive Custom Wrench

By default, the Full-Drive Custom Wrench has lower damage than other weapons on my list. However, if you apply certain skills, such as Jawbreaker, the critical hit rate will rise to the sky. Too bad this weapon can be equipped only by Eric Tamizawa’s Cabbie job. I’d love to try it on someone like Kazuma or Adachi instead. I think it would immediately propel this weapon to at least an A-tier in their hands.

  • 1 Cabbie’s Wrench
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Shark Fin

Chef de Cuisine’s Spoon

This is a tricky one, but I needed to mention it nonetheless. Chef de Cuisine’s Spoon is a weapon that’s exclusive to any male character with the Chef job. This means that you can squeeze lots of damage out of it, but you have to pay the price, which automatically increases the cost of all your MP skills. If you really like the Chef job and you do want the best weapon, then I strongly recommend Chef de Cuisine’s Spoon, but only if you have lots of MP points to spare.

  • 1 Chef’s Ladle
  • 15 Rainbow Crystals
  • 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • 1 Squid Tentacle

That’s it for my tier list of the best weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Stay tuned for more LaD: IW tips and tricks articles, including best combo meals and where to get them and best jobs for every character & how to unlock them.
