DEEEER Simulator: How to Open the Portal to the Future to Level 2

Wondering how to open the portal to the future in DEEEER Simulator to get to Level 2? This guide tells you how to find it and unlock it.

Knowing how to open the portal to the future is key to progressing in DEEEER Simulator. After a certain point, there’s only so much to do in the first level, but the steps for unlocking Level 2 aren’t clear. There are no neon signs (or anything at all) pointing you to the future after you beat Doggo. If you don’t know where to look or what to do, there’s no chance of meeting your Future Self.

This quick guide will tell you everything you need to know about opening up the portal to the future in DEEEER Simulator, including where to find it and how to activate it.

Where to Find the Portal to the Future in DEEEER Simulator

The portal to the future is located inside the Red Pagoda to the left of the arena where you fight the boss Doggo. Turn directly around at spawn, and look to the right. You should see the Red Pagoda in the distance.

How to Unlock the Portal to the Future

To unlock the portal to the future, you first have to beat Doggo. The quickest way to do so is by unlocking Metal Deer because its dodge ability helps sidestep Doggo’s attacks.

Whether you unlock the beastly mecha or amass a stupendous number of guns, the strategy for beating the Level 1 boss remains the same: shoot Doggo’s feet so they fall down, destroy the cop cars on their shoulders, and press the red buttons that appear on their shoulders.

With Doggo defeated, you have everything you need to open the portal to the future. Dash into their body as the deer (not Metal Deer) to grab them. Continue holding dash, and go to the Red Pagoda. To the right side of the bridge is a red button with a dog symbol. Run over the button while holding Doggo to press it. Now, go to the other side of the bridge and stand on a red button with the deer symbol

A short cinematic will play, showing the portal to the future activating in the entrance to the Pagoda itself. Approach the portal, and interact with it to travel to the next level

If you took any damage during Level 1, either to cop mobs or Doggo themself, your heart gauges will completely heal when entering the portal to the future for Level 2.

That’s all you need to know about how to open the portal to the future in DEEEER Simulator Level 1. The difficulty only goes up from here; with sheep gods, mecha polar bears, and hippo-bunny snipers, the police are much more difficult to defeat. And you’ll have to face off against your Future Self, a much tougher challenge than Doggo. Luckily, you now have lasers.
