To complete the Top of Class quest in Destiny 2‘s Guardian Games, you’ll have to finish several prerequisites first. Getting these objectives done can be somewhat confusing, as they take some repetition and involve multiple conversations with NPCs. Our guide lists out the steps to complete the Top of Class mission.
How to Start the Top of Class Quest in Destiny 2
There are several tasks that have to be done before you can even get the Top of Class quest from Eva Levante. These range from getting medallions to talking to characters at the Tower. However, nothing requires too much work.
- Talk to Eva Levante at the Tower to start progressing toward the Top of Class quest. During this initial conversation, she gives a class item to wear that’s required to collect a Medallion.
- The next step is to complete any of the quests in one of the Guardian Games playlists and earn a Medallion to bring back to Eva. Completing a quest or activity grants a Medallion with the class item equipped.
- With your Medallion, go back to Eva and talk to her again to get the Medallion case, which lets you carry more Medallions.
- For the next step, chat with Zavala and Shaxx. They give a quest each, but neither of them is required to complete the Best in Class quest. Talking to them is all that’s required.
- Go back and speak with Eva again. This time, however, she rewards you with the Taraxxipos Scout Rifle. This also completes the Best in Class Quest, opening the door to finally get the Top of Class quest from Eva.
How to Complete the Top of Class Quest in Destiny 2
There are only two more steps to complete this quest and get the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun.
- First, get one more Medallion of any type with the class item equipped. Using Glimmer to buy Contender and Platinum Cards from Eva can increase chances of getting more medallions.
The next step of the quest is to take down 100 targets with a machine gun in any activity. After doing so, go back to Eva and speak with her again to Complete the Top of Class Quest. She will reward you with the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun.
