Final Fantasy 15 First-Person Mode Guide

Wondering how to go into first-person mode in FFXV Royal Edition and FFXV Windows Edition? Check out this quick guide to find out how to do it.

With the release of its Royal Edition on console and Windows Edition on PC, Final Fantasy 15 is the first game in the series to include a first-person mode. Much like GTA 5‘s first-person mode, FFXV‘s game-altering perspective will let you explore the world of Eos directly through the eyes of the game’s main characters.

To activate this mode on console (PS4, PS4 Pro, and Xbox One), simultaneously press in both of the control sticks on either the Dualshock 4 (L3+R3) or Xbox One controller (LS+RS).

To activate it on PC, simply press the “N” key on your keyboard.

If you want to switch back to third-person view in either the Royal Edition or the Windows Edition of the game, simply depress the control sticks or “N” key again — and you’re back seeing things in over-the-shoulder mode.

There’s no doubt the first-person perspective can get a little hectic in FFXV, but being able to ride a Chocobo around Eos while seeing everything from the saddle makes it all worth it.
