You can money, XP, and the Zoophilist outfit by taking daily photos of three out of 15 different animals during the Shoot Animals Photography Challenge. To help you find them faster, I’ve provided maps of their locations and noted the best places to find all animals in GTA Online.
How to Start the Shoot Animals Photography Challenge and Take Pictures in GTA Online
To start the Shoot Animals Photography Challenge, answer the call from the LS Tourist Board. You must use the Snapmatic app on your mobile phone to take pictures of three random animals and email them to the LS Tourist Board. If you do everything right, you’ll be rewarded with the following items:
- $20,000 and 500 RP for each photograph.
- $40,000 and 5,000 RP for completing a list.
- Park Ranger trade price.
- Zoophilist Outfit inspired by Ace Ventura character.
Where to Find All Animal Locations in GTA Online for the Animal Photography Challenge
Best Boar Locations
The best place to find boars for the GTA Online Animal Photography Challenge is around the Paleto Forest Sawmill. But I also recommend checking out the following areas, as well:
- Grand Senora Desert.
- North Chumash.
- Great Chaparral.
Best Cat Locations
If you want to find cats, then be sure to visit any of the alleyways in Los Santos. I’d specifically look at such areas as:
- Burton.
- Alta.
- Vespucci.
Best Chicken Hawk Locations
Chicken Hawks mostly tend to fly in two areas: Blaine County and Martin Madrazo’s Lock-up in Grand Senora Desert. But be sure to check out the following places, too:
- Mount Chiliad.
- Zancudo river.
- San Chianski Mountain Range.
Best Cow Locations
Most cows can be seen at the Grapeseed Cow Farm. If you go there, you’ll definitely find some. There’s really no other place like it on the map, though you can try the following locations:
- Baytree Canyon.
- El Rancho.
- Orchardville.
Best Coyote Locations
Coyotes like to roam desert GTA Online‘s regions, but you’ll have the best luck at Sandy Shores. Of course, make your way to these areas for more coyote pictures:
- Grand Senora Desert.
- Banham Canyon.
- Grapeseed.
Best Crow Locations
Finding Crows for the Animal Photography Challenge is actually very rare, although you may see them flying over San Andreas. But if you don’t want to spend too much time looking for them, be sure to visit these two locales:
- Lago Zancudo.
- Sandy Shores.
Best Deer Locations
Deer love roaming forests and wild areas, but you’ll have the best chance of seeing them at Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness and Paleto Forest. Other areas where you can find deer include:
- Fort Zancudo.
- Zancudo River.
- Raton Canyon.
Best Great Cormorant Locations
Great Cormorants are rather rare birds, similar to crows and chicken hawks. But they love flocking around Lago Zancudo the most. Some other areas worth checking out are:
- Mirror Park.
- Murrieta Heights.
Best Hen Locations
Grapeseed Farms is full of hens and the best place to snap a pic of them for the GTA Online Animal Photography Challenge. You can also occasionally find hens at:
- Sandy Shores.
- Harmony.
- RON Alternates Wind Farm.
Best Mountain Lion Locations
Mountain Lions usually spawn in the mountains. These animals especially love Mount Gordo, but you’d have to go up to the very top to see one. Other mounts that I recommend checking are:
- San Chanski Mountain Range.
- Mount Chiliad.
- Mount Josiah.
Best Pig Locations
Just like hens and cows, Grapeseed has the largest amount of pig farms in GTA Online. Occasionally, you can find some more pigs at:
- Alamo Shores.
- Harmony.
- Sandy Shores.
Best Poodle Locations
Poodles love the city of Los Santos, especially areas like Del Perro Beach, Vinewood Boulevard, and Rockford Hills. But they may roam other areas, including:
- East Vinewood.
- Mirror Park.
- Richman.
Best Pug Locations
Pugs, on the other hand, are far rarer than poodles, and are another entry in the Animal Photography Challenge I don’t suggest relying on for pictures. But if you want to snag a picture of the cute dogs, you can spot a few pugs around Rockford Hills, Mirror Park, and Vespucci Beach. Some other places to look would be:
- Bay City.
- Marathon Avenue.
- Red Desert Avenue.
Best Rabbit Locations
As for the rabbits, these creatures are literally everywhere in rural areas, so you can’t miss them. I suggest going for denser spots, such as:
- RON Alternates Wind Farm.
- Grapeseed.
- Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness.
Best Seagull Locations
Seagulls are marine birds that can be spotted anywhere near ocean shores and beaches. But I discovered that gulls especially love to flock around the Elysian Island. Also, be sure to visit the following areas:
- Vespucci Beach.
- Del Perro Beach.
- Procopio Beach.
