There are a couple of routes you can take to get pets in The Winds of Anthos. First, you can purchase animals from a town’s designated animal dealer. These shops can be found throughout the towns of Anthos, though each offers a slightly different selection.

You’ll find standard farm animals, like chicks and calves, at virtually every shop. However, certain shops might also sell Border Collies, while others offer Blue-Eyed Black Cats. Prices can range anywhere between 1,000 and 16,000 Gold. Peruse each shop location to find the pet you want.

Apart from purchasing animals, you can also tame them in the wild. This will require consistent bonding, so you’ll need to revisit an animal over the course of a few days to bring it home as a pet. Simply sneak up to it and choose the pet directive.

Eventually, you’ll have the option to take the befriended critter home. Just bear in mind that you can only keep one pet in your house at a time. This means animals like rabbits and foxes can’t be brought back in numbers. However, you can keep up to five farm animals, such as tamed horses and sheep.
