Our guide will provide you with a tier list of the best talents in Hogwarts Legacy that will help you improve your character builds.

Hogwarts Legacy: S-Tier Talents

Avada Kedavra Mastery

  • Tree: Dark Arts
  • Level: 22

This is the most powerful talent in the game, which automatically kills all cursed enemies, if you’ve killed at least one other enemy with the Avada Kedavra spell.

This means that your already overpowered insta-kill spell, which could be used only in duels, turns into an insta-kill AoE, which could easily become your go-to PvE clear strategy.

Curse Sapper

  • Tree: Dark Arts
  • Level: 22

This talent and the previous one are connected, and if you spend your talent point on Curse Sapper, then you will heal from killing all the cursed enemies. Of course, in this case you’d have to focus your build specifically around curse spells and Dark Arts talent tree.

Protego Mastery

  • Tree: Core
  • Level: 22

Players who’ve mastered their parry skills can really benefit from this talent, which allows you to destroy any barriers and break any shields after executing a perfect Protego. But if you’re not as strong in parrying, then this may not be the best choice.

Petrificus Totalus Mastery

  • Tree: Stealth
  • Level: 22

If you like the idea of using Avada Kedavra spell, but you don’t want to go into Dark Arts, then this talent could be very useful.

It basically does the same by initiating an insta-kill area around you, but in a stealthy way, which may be an even better option than Avada Kedavra Mastery.

Focus Potion Potency

  • Tree: Room of Requirement
  • Level: 22

Every experienced wizard knows the power of the Focus Potion, and now imagine that you can extend it infinitely.

This talent allows you to do so by casting spells from the Spell Set. The more spells you cast, the longer the potion works.

Hogwarts Legacy: A-Tier Talents

Enduring Curse

  • Tree: Dark Arts
  • Level: 16

If you like the idea of extending the duration of your potions, then you might also like this talent, which extends your curses.

Dark Arts wizards should absolutely take Enduring Curse, as it will affect all your other curse-based spells and talents.

Crucio Mastery

  • Tree: Dark Arts
  • Level: 16

This talent could be used either as an addition to Enduring Curse or a sort of an alternative to it, if you’re looking to save a talent point.

Crucio Mastery allows you to curse all nearby enemies, if you’ve successfully struck any other enemy with the Crucio spell.

Spell Knowledge (I-III)

  • Tree: Core
  • Level: 5-16

Extra spell slots are a must for any character build in Hogwarts Legacy. Spell Knowledge allows you to not only add more spells to your set, but also quickly swap between them by holding an R2/RT button on your gamepad.

Sense of Secrecy (I-II)

  • Tree: Stealth
  • Level: 5-16

If you wish to focus on improving their stealth builds should definitely pick this one up, as it reduces the ability of your enemies to detect you. But it could also be very useful on other builds, especially if you don’t want to use the Invisibility Potion too often.

Hogwarts Legacy: B-Tier Talents

Swift

  • Tree: Core
  • Level: 5

One of the best early talents is definitely Swift, a quick dodge with dash ability, which is much better that your standard roll to the side.

Human Demiguise

  • Tree: Stealth
  • Level: 5

This talent allows you to sprint while staying invisible, which could be very efficient for any Stealth build.

Evasion Absorption

  • Tree: Core
  • Level: 16

Evasion Absorption could be well used by the Ancient Magic wielders, as it increases the Ancient Magic gauge each time you evade an unblockable attack.

Maxima Potion Potency

  • Tree: Room of Requirement
  • Level: 16

If you want nothing else but to increase the damage of your spells, then this talent can greatly increase the effects of the Maxima Potion. Note that it also improves your ability to break shields and barriers.

Protego Absorption

  • Tree: Core
  • Level: 5

Protego Absorption is another talent that will fit Ancient Magic builds, as it increases your magic meter every time you successfully use the Protego spell.
