Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 features a huge selection of different courses to race on, but you’ll find them locked from Quick Modes. This guide will cover how to unlock more tracks in HWU2.

Play the Campaign

The first and easiest method to unlocking these tracks is to play through the campaign. All of the events have coins and EXP as rewards, but some also unlock their course/circuit layout as well. You can recognize these if the rewards list shows a symbol from a particular environment next to a number. In the above picture, I unlocked Track 5 from the Gas Station environment.

If you haven’t checked out the Quick Modes yet, you might have been confused about what these track numbers are. I had mistakenly assumed these were points or items related to the Track Builder mode since nothing directly tells you what they’re actually unlocking. Those who play exclusively online or just barrel through the campaign might not know that some courses are even locked.

Purchase Them

For those who don’t want to play through the campaign, your next best option is to purchase them with coins. This can be the quickest way if you want a particular course as you can unlock them right then and there on the selection screen.

The only caveat is that you’ll need to have coins to unlock them. Just like buying cars from the shop, they range from 2,000 to 5,000 each. Thankfully that isn’t too much and you’ll be able to gather plenty from any online or offline races you do.
