How to Farm Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld

Ancient Civilization Cores work a lot like the parts — farming them by fighting some higher-level pal bosses. However, unlike the Alpha Pal Bosses that are scattered around the map, they require you to fight a particular boss: Bellanoir. Bellanoir is the first-ever Raid Boss, and you can’t find them just anywhere. You’ll need to summon them.

How to Summon Bellanoir

The first step to summoning Bellanoir is unlocking the Summoning Altar. It’s available in Technology 33 but requires some Ancient Technology Points, so fight some bosses ahead of time to stock up. Once you unlock it, you can build it under the Other tab, with the following materials:

  • Stone x100
  • Paldium Fragment x20

You’ll need a flat, wide open space to place it down, and you may want to distance it from your base, since the boss will spawn right on top of it. Once it’s placed, you can summon Bellanoir by using a Bellanoir Slab.

How to Make Bellanoir Slabs

You can make a Bellanoir Slab on the Production Assembly Line, but you’ll need four Bellanoir Slab fragments before doing so. The fragments are hidden in chests within dungeons and Pal Sanctuaries. Yes, it will take a bit more searching to get to this point. Thankfully, there are no shortage of dungeons to find around the world.

  • Palworld island map with icons of dungeons scattered around each biome
  • Dungeon chests with purple crystal teleport crystal

You can find them in every biome and most often around hills and cliffs. They will appear as dark cave entrances that you can enter. However, they do have certain times that they open and close, so you may have to try a few before you get to one that is open. After you get inside, make your way through to the boss. You’ll need to defeat the boss to get to the two chests near the dungeon exit portal. Those chests are the ones that contain the fragments.

Once you make the Bellanoir Slab at the Production Assembly Line, take it to your Summoning Altar and place it inside. Before doing so, though, ensure you are well prepared for battle. You’ll want the right pals, healing, and weapons.

Bellanoir is a level 30 Dark boss. Her abilities are heavily damaging and can lock onto you, so try to keep your distance and dodge as much as possible. The best pals to use against her are Dragon-type pals. Chillet is a great choice if you have the saddle, since you can stay at a good distance and use the mounted abilities to drain her health.

If you manage to defeat her, you can collect some of those Ancient Civilization Cores as well as some other loot like the Bellanoir egg and Multiclimate Undershirt.

How to Get Ancient Civilization Core Crafting Recipe

Although there aren’t any legit crafting recipes in the game, a mod by sendit2ash on NexusMods provides one. A crafting recipe for it will make it much easier to get the cores you need without going through the Bellanoir boss fight every time. Keep in mind this mod is only available for players on PC.

You can download the mod from NexusMods and extract the zipped folder into your PC’s Palworld/ContentPal/Content/Paks folder. Once you do that, you can find the Crafting Recipe on the Production Assembly Line II. You can make it with the following materials:

  • Ancient Civilization Parts x50
  • Polymer x20
  • Circuit Boards x10
  • Diamond x5

Now that you have some ways to get Ancient Civilization Cores, you can make all the Egg Incubator and Ability Glasses you need. Plus, more recipes could require them in the future, so better stock up now!
