How to Get Prime Meat in Fallout 76

Here's how to get Prime Meat in Fallout 76 and what to do with it for Grahm's Meat Cook.

During Meat Week in Fallout 76, you’ll have the chance to earn special meat-themed rewards by participating in Grahm’s Meat Cook. However, before you do so, you’ll be responsible for bringing plenty of Prime Meat to the party so Grahm can grill for his guests. Since these are two separate events, it isn’t immediately clear how to get enough Prime Meat for Grahm. Here’s how to get Prime Meat in Fallout 76 and what to do with it for Grahm’s Meat Cook.

To get Prime Meat in Fallout 76, you must complete the Primal Cuts public event. This event occurs every 15 minutes during Meat Week, May 21 to June 4, 2024. You’ll see this event appear on your map just like traditional events (sometimes occurring at different locations at the same time). The pictures above show the various locations that I found it to appear at in Appalachia. If you can’t find the Prime Cuts event on your map, look for it listed in the World Activity window on the bottom left of your map screen.

Once you’re at the event, your first task is to use Grahm’s drum setup. This will attract the Prime creatures to your location, setting the stage for the battle. You’ll face three waves of these creatures, followed by a final legendary Prime boss in the fourth round. Successfully complete all four rounds, and you’ll earn your well-deserved Prime Meat.

I completed four Primal Cuts public events solo using my Vampire Chainsaw Power Armor build with little difficulty. However, the most challenging boss fight was the Legendary Prime Sheepsquatch, so come prepared if you are doing this solo like me, or bring lots of friends to help!

After getting Prime Meat, you must join Grahm’s Cook Out public event. Once there, take your Prime Meat to Grahm’s Meat Grill. You can add Prime Meat to his grill in stacks of five. The first five stacks of Prime Meat added will earn you five Legendary Scrip and a 15-minute buff called Mild Meat Sweats. You can add another five Prime Meat to earn five more Legendary Scrip and upgrade the buff to Meat Sweats. Finally, you can add five more Prime Meat to earn five additional Legendary Scrip and upgrade the buff to Strong Meat Sweats.

The table below explains what each tier of the Meat Sweats buff provides you.

However, Fallout 76 uses the Strong Meat Sweats buff to track whether or not you can add additional Prime Meat to Grahm’s Grill. Bethesda implemented this tracking to prevent you from jumping between servers to farm Legendary Scrips, so remember that you should hang onto your Prime Meats until this buff wears off after the 15-minute duration.
