How to Join The Floor is Lava LTM in Fortnite

The limited-time The Floor is Lava mode is a creative map explicitly made by Epic Games. There are some creative maps under the same name, but the only real game mode is an Epic Games creation.

To join in, you’ll want to scroll down the Play tab and look under the “By Epic” category. It should be one of the very first on the list, titled, “Midas Presents: The Floor is Lava.” Clicking on the image will open the details page, and then press “Select” to adjust your queue. On the lobby screen, you can join in with some squad mates or go solo, then press the “Play” button.

What is Midas Presents: The Floor is Lava?

The Floor is Lava is a bit different than your usual Battle Royale or Zero Build mode. As titled, lava covers the floor around the battle area and will continue to rise as the match goes on.

The Floor is Lava is set on the usual map, with all the new POIs and weapons. You must carry out typical activities like looting and fighting other players as you escape the lava by getting to high ground. However, you will find a lot more legendary weapons and other items like harpoons to try and sabotage players by pulling them into the lava. You can build on top of the lava to avoid falling into it or throw down crash pads to bounce back up. Your ultimate goal is to eliminate all other players before ending up in the lava yourself.

All Midas Presents: The Floor is Lava Quests & Rewards

While you’re playing The Floor is Lava, you can complete some in-game tasks to earn rewards. These can be anything from surviving a certain amount of time during a match or keeping yourself alive by building over the lava. Here’s how to complete all of them:

  • Use a Harpoon Gun to pull a player into lava
  • Eliminate players before touching lava – 10
