How to Reset Your Mission Progress in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Yes, you can replay missions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but only after you complete the main story. Once you unlock the Chapter Select feature, you can choose whichever section of the game you want, select the difficulty, including the new Hard mode, and play that chapter from the beginning.

Additionally, you can decide what mission data you want to have loaded. Which you choose will determine how much and how many missions you can replay.

  • With Retain Current Quest Completion Data, the game will load mission data from your current saved game. If you do multiple playthroughs with different missions completed (for different dates, for instance) this option will only pull from the save you played most recently.
  • Choose Restore Previously Completed Quest Data to decide which save data you want to use to pull missions from. In other words, if you have multiple playthroughs and want to advance, say, Tifa’s date over someone else’s, you can load a save file that focuses on progressing her relationship.
  • Choose Reset All Quest Data if you want to enjoy all of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth from the start. Not only will main story content be reset on chapter select, so will progress on all odd jobs.

In other words, choose Reset All Quest Data if you want to replay missions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Note that if you left an odd job incomplete before selecting its chapter, that progress will still reset. Only completed odd job progression doesn’t reset (as long as you don’t reset all quest data).

That’s about everything you need to know about playing missions and odd jobs again in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. For much more content on the game, check out our guides hub.
