Best Pals to Keep at Your Base in Palworld

Base building is key part of your Palworld playthrough. Here are the best Pals to keep at your base.

Base building is at the heart of Palworld. With the help of the Pals you catch, you can produce any and all resources you need to craft weapons, armor, and more. However, certain Pals are better at some jobs than others. Here are the best Pals to keep at your base in Palworld.

What are the Best Pals to Keep at Your Base in Palworld?

Caprity

Caprity does a fantastic job producing food for the Pals at your base in Palworld. This Grass-type boasts a Level 2 Planting skill, so it’s able to sow seeds at your Berry and Wheat Plantations quickly and efficiently. Apart from this, however, it can also drop mature Red Berries while grazing at the Ranch.

Bristla

Equipped with Level 2 Medicine Production, Bristla shines when concocting healing consumables. These are pretty tough to come by, otherwise. Moreover, this Grass-type Pal is also able to help out with several other tasks, including Planting, Handiwork, Transporting, and Gathering.

Flambelle

If you’re looking for the perfect Fire-type Pal to keep at your base in Palworld, you can’t go wrong with Flambelle. I was fortunate enough to hatch mine from a Scorching Egg fairly early. Not only does Flambelle take care of Kindling, but it’s also good with Handiwork, Transporting, and Farming. It drops Flame Organs at the Ranch, too, which you’ll need to craft fire-resistant armor as well as weapons like fire arrows.

Mau

Once you unlock the Ranch at Level 5, Mau is a must-have Pal at your base in Palworld. Both the standard Dark-type Pal and its Cryst variant drop gold coins when grazing, and the funds stack up fast with several Pals roaming at once. Just be sure to assign it a job at the Ranch, specifically. Otherwise, it will wander aimlessly from time to time.

Vixy

Similarly, Vixy can help you farm a variety of different items when it’s assigned to the Ranch at your base. While grazing, this Neutral-type Pal can drop Pal Spheres, gold coins, and arrows, topping off your supplies in no time at all. Available to catch very early on, Vixy is a deserving base staple.

Tanzee

Much like Penking, there’s almost nothing that Tanzee can’t do. This little Grass-type stays busy throughout the day with Planting, Handiwork, Lumbering, Transporting, and Gathering. While its work suitability for each task is sitting at Level 1, my own Tanzee has the beneficial passive skill Serious, making it an especially hard worker. Similar skills like Artisan can make all the difference.

Penking

Currently, Penking is the driving force at my base in Palworld. I didn’t realize how lucky I was when I hatched this Water/Ice-type Pal from a Large Damp Egg early on, but it remains my top producer now that I’ve caught even more more Pals. It’s equipped with Level 2 work suitability for Transporting, Handiwork, Mining, Watering, and Cooling — a heavy lifter, indeed.

Beegarde

The very definition of a busy bee, Beegarde is one of the best workers you can have at your base in Palworld. Its work suitability includes Planting, Handiwork, Lumbering, Medicine Production, Transporting, Gathering, and Farming. If that’s not enough, it also drops Honey while grazing at the Ranch. This resource is highly valuable, as it’s needed to make cakes for the breeding process.

These are some of the best Pals to keep at your base in Palworld, but you’ll find plenty more to catch and put to work. Be sure to reference each Pal’s work suitability to find the best fit for every job.
