You can find Chingling in a few different locations throughout the Kitakami region of the Teal Mask DLC, highlighted on the map above. In my experience, the Infernal Pass on Oni Mountain is a great place to catch this Pokemon, as spawns appear in nearly every corner. However, you’ll also stumble upon loads of these guys around the Crystal Pool atop the mountain.

Introduced as a baby Pokemon in Generation IV, Chingling is fairly easy to catch. That said, you’ll need to be careful not to knock it out while lowering its health. Your best bet is to inflict status conditions or hit it with False Swipe, an attack that will leave your target with at least 1 HP.

I recommend using either Quick Balls or Luxury Balls to catch Chingling. The former will significantly increase the catch rate on the first turn, while the latter will help to raise friendship later on. Depending on your preferences, one may be better suited than the other.

All things considered, you should opt for the Luxury Ball if you’re hoping to evolve Chingling into Chimecho. If you’re simply looking to add the Bell Pokemon to your ‘dex, a Quick Ball will suffice. Personally, I went with a Premier Ball to match its evolution. Weigh your options and make the catch.

That wraps up how to find and catch Chingling in the Teal Mask DLC. For more helpful tips on your adventure through the Kitakami region, check out our guides hub for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Teal Mask.
