Our guide will provide you with a list of the best armor in Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters. All armor variants are unlocked on one of the three tiers, which players may include into their ever changing builds.

Best Tier I Armor in Chaos Gate Daemonhunters

Warrant of Flame

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +3 Armor

This is a perfect Tier I armor for the Justicar class with increased defenses that also has a couple of important grenade bonuses.

Warrant of Flame provides knights with +1 grenade ammo and area, allowing for more effective and longer AoE burns.

It also has a Tactical Dreadnought bonus, which protects your knight from knockbacks.

Steadfast

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +2 Armor

If you care more about serious protection rather than gaining any damage bonuses, then the Steadfast armor will do the job.

It has a slightly lower defense stat than Warrant of Flame, but in addition to an already mentioned Tactical Dreadnought perk, players also get a 20% Resistance bonus.

This is the best armor to protect your knight from all sorts of Afflictions that otherwise would give you a lot of trouble.

Warpscourge

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +3 Armor

In case your focus is on activating abilities, then Warpscourge would be the best armor choice at Tier I.

This armor adds +2 Willpower to your knight, which allows you to be more flexible with your abilities.

But it also has Warp Suppression that does not allow Warp Surge to grow once you use your psychic abilities.

Best Tier II Armor in Chaos Gate Daemonhunters

Fate’s Refuge

  • Type: Power Armor
  • Speed: +2 Move

Although Power Armor is not as resilient as Terminator, it provides players with higher mobility.

What makes Fate’s Refuge notable among the best armor is that it has the Enhanced Mobility bonus, which allows players to climb over obstacles, which otherwise you’d have to circle around.

Lastly, this armor has immunity from Hazards, so all that damage will be mitigated.

Heart of the Flame

  • Type: Power Armor
  • Damage: +2 Grenade

This is another armor that focuses more on the damage aspect than protective abilities.

Heart of the Flame not only increases damage of your grenades, but also the range, which in this case is +4, and ammo +1.

If you play as a DPS class, then Heart of the Flame is easily among the best armor options to equip.

Vigilence

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +2 Armor

This armor is basically an upgraded variant of the Steadfast armor, but in this case you get a 25% Resistance bonus instead of 20%.

Additionally, your knight gets +2 HP bonus, which is the default upgrade of a Tier II armor.

Warpscorn

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +4 Armor

Warpscorn is an example of the armor with the highest possible default armor bonus at +4, and it is a functional upgrade of the Warpscourge armor.

In addition to high defense stat, it increases your Willpower to +3, but the rest is a carbon copy of the Warpscourge variant.

Best Tier III Armor in Chaos Gate Daemonhunters

Morningplate

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +3 Armor

The best part about Tier III armor of any type is that it sometimes offers players unique features not available in any other variant.

This particular armor provides players with the Penitent perk, which allows them to spend their HP in order to activate abilities once their Willpower is spent.

This single addition turns Morningplate into one of the best armor pieces, and it can literally save your entire game.

Keeper of the Flame

  • Type: Terminator Armor
  • Defense: +2 Armor

Players who are looking for a way to increase their damage even further can use the Keeper of the Flame armor, which functions as a straight upgrade of the Warrant of Flame and Heart of the Flame variants.

This one also adds another set of extra points to your grenade damage and range, as well as increases your knight’s HP by +3, which is quite significant.
