WildStar is a game that is easy to look at, and there is also a lot going off under the hood – a lot of information, and many details that will improve your experience. Addons can grab that information and display it to you in a nice aesthetic way, or it can take what is already displayed and change it in 100s of way; colours, size, scope of information, or just remove it all together.
WildStar is a unique beast in that it comes preloaded with dozens of addons already. These range from unit frames to your combat log. You can disable these with ease, but why would you? It’ll increase performance for one, and secondly there is no need to have two sets of information being generated.
How To: Manual
First thing’s first; you need to own WildStar and have it installed, Cupcake.
- Head over to Curse and find the addon or addons you would like to install.
- Then select ‘Download Now’.
- Find your download folder.
- Press Windows key + R, and type in %appdata% then hit Enter.
- Scroll down and select the NCSOFT folder. Inside go WildStar > Addons and extract/Paste the addon you have downloaded.
- Hit the Play button on the WildStar launcher.
- When you are logged in to a character hit the Esc key, click on Addons.
- You will now see the addons you have installed here, click Author to see them easier.
How To: Curse Client
First thing’s first; you need to own WildStar and have it installed, then head over to Curse to download and install the client, Cupcake.
- Open up the client and scan for the compatible games you have installed.
- Head to Curse to find the addon or addons you would like to install. Then select Install vis Curse Client. Or search directly via the Curse client.
- Hit the Play button on the WildStar launcher.
- When you are logged in to a character hit the Esc key, click on Addons.
- You will now see the addons you have installed here, click Author to see them easier.
