How to Complete A Token of Friendship and Get the Zora Greaves in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

To start A Token of Friendship, you’ll need to talk to Yona, who can be found in the plaza area of Zora’s Domain.

To be frank, I’m not yet sure about the exact stage when this quest becomes available. Yona might tell you about it as soon as you get the Zora Armor (i.e., the one with the Ancient Arowana). In my case, though, I completed the entirety of the Water Temple before I returned to Zora’s Domain. That’s when I saw that she had an available quest.

In any case, to do the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom A Token of Friendship quest, you’ll want to return to the Ancient Zora Waterworks. You should be familiar with it if you’ve progressed or completed the Lanayru Regional Phenomena objectives. It’s at the bottom of the lake with the whirlpool. Simply get sucked into the whirlpool, and you’ll end up there.

Continue to the main area with the pillar and waterway puzzle. Now, while facing the pillar, go to the back-right of the structure. You should see a small hole.

Down below, you’ll spot three waterfalls: two on either side and one at the back. If you cross through the middle, the rocks will move, and a Stone Talus will emerge.

Don’t worry, though, since you don’t need to fight it. Instead, just go through the waterfall at the back. There, you’ll be able to open a chest that has the Zora Greaves.

And that’s it. You’ve finished the quest and got the Zora Greaves to boot (pun intended). The item has +3 armor rating and, like its other counterparts, it increases your swim speed and allows you to climb up waterfalls. You can learn more in our Zora Armor Set guide. The set also looks good when paired with the Lightscale Trident from the Glory to the Zora quest.

That’s how to complete the A Token of Friendship in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This reward is but one of countless that you can discover in the game. For more tips and walkthroughs, visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
