How to Get the TotK Hero of the Wild Set

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hero of the Wild Set consists of the following armor pieces: Cap of the Wild, Tunic of the Wild, and Trousers of the Wild. In the previous game, these items could only be obtained after completing all 120 Shrine challenges. However, in TotK, they’re found in treasure chests in the Depths. Specifically, they’re in the jaws of dark skeletons, carcasses of gigantic fallen creatures.

One more thing about the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hero of the Wild Set is that each armor piece has +4 defense, for a total of +12 defense. The outfit doesn’t have a unique passive or perk, save for giving nostalgic vibes.

In any case, I’ve detailed the locations and coordinates of each item. Since you’ll be heading to specific spots in the Depths, I suggest checking our Lightroot locations guide, as well as making a Hoverbike, to aid you in your exploration.

TotK Cap of the Wild Location

  • Location: Hebra Dark Skeleton – Go directly east from the Kato Lightroot.
  • Coordinates: -3956, 3724, -0858

TotK Tunic of the Wild Location

  • Location: Gerudo Dark Skeleton – Head all the way to the southwestern edge of the Depths map.
  • Coordinates: -4879, -3718, -0459

TotK Trousers of the Wild Location

  • Location: Eldin Dark Skeleton – Follow the path to the east from the Kayam Lightroot. Make sure you stay on top of the bone piles while traversing this area since a Mr. Gloomyhands also spawns.
  • Coordinates: 1673, 3723, -0561
