Demon’s Souls Pre Order Guide: Editions & Pre Order Bonuses

The Old One is set to rise this November on the PS5. Here's where to pre order, what bonuses you can expect, and what's in each edition.

Much to the joy of Souls fans across the world, the Demon’s Souls remake is leading the vanguard of PlayStation 5 launch titles. Eleven years of waiting are almost over, and we’ll once again be able to take on classic bosses like Tower Knight, Armor Spider, and Flamelurker without dusting off our PS3s or revving up an emulator.

The world might very well be mended.

Of course, fans like me may have already pre ordered the standard edition of Demon’s Souls when they pre ordered their PS5s. But Sony has just unveiled what comes with that edition and the game’s deluxe edition for those who want to sharpen their blades early.

Demon’s Souls Standard Edition

Price: $69.88 — $69.99

The basic standard edition of Demon’s Souls, whether purchased physically or digitally, comes with the base game and the Reaper Scyth weapon. There are no special pre order bonuses for specific stores.

Here’s where you can pick it up:

Demon’s Souls Digital Deluxe Edition

Price: $89.99

As the name suggests, the digital deluxe edition of Demon’s Souls isn’t available physically and can only be purchased on the PlayStation Store for $89.99. It comes with the base game and the Reaper Scyth weapon, as well as the following in-game bonuses per Sony:

  • Legendary Hero Soul
  • Renowned Warrior Soul
  • Storied Warrior Soul
  • Red-Eye Knight Armor
  • Boletarian Royalty Armor
  • Ritual Blade
  • Hoplite Shield
  • Ring of Longevity
  • Preservation Grains
  • Phosphorescent Grains
  • Bearbug Grains
  • Large Hardstone Shard
  • Moonlightstone Shard
  • Original soundtrack

As of now, there are no other editions for Demon’s Souls on PS5. If that changes between now and launch, we’ll be sure to update this guide with that information.

Demon’s Souls was first revealed in stunning detail during Sony’s June PS5 event. That was followed up by a perhaps more impressive look at the beloved RPG earlier this month, in which fans got their first proper look at new gameplay.

Bluepoint Games, who have also worked on Titanfall, Shadow of the Colossus, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, are spearheading the remake, which is a complete overall built from the ground up. It will feature 4K visuals, haptic feedback through the DualSense, and 3D audio. Clocking in at 66GB, it will also take advantage of the PS5’s proprietary SSD for faster load times across the board.

Demon’s Souls is set to release on November 12. Get your pre order in by using the links above and prepare to dial up the hype. Stay tuned for our full review at launch.
