Pocket Mortys Season 3 Weekly Update 5: Giant Inside Out Summer And Chimney Sweep Morty https://www.gameskinny.com/7y549/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-5-giant-inside-out-summer-and-chimney-sweep-morty https://www.gameskinny.com/7y549/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-5-giant-inside-out-summer-and-chimney-sweep-morty Mon, 21 Aug 2017 17:56:50 -0400 Ty Arthur

Season 3 of Adult Swim's masterful sci-fi dark comedy has been firing on all cylinders lately, culminating in Rick and Morty Season 3, Episode 5 “The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy”.

This week we get an unexpected Rick and Jerry adventure, offering a pairing that almost never happens as the two come to terms with Jerry and Beth's divorce. Things get predictably crazy -- and as this season has been known to do, they also get absurdly gory and even a little psychedelic. As a fun side adventure, Summer accidentally makes herself gigantic and spends the day trying to return to normal size by talking to some unhelpful tech support.

Hopefully Rick And Morty doesn't go the way of Dan Harmon's other show Community and take a nose dive in quality after the awesome third season. But for now, these new episodes are offering everything the fans want.

Corresponding to each new episode, the mobile monster-raising phenomena Pocket Mortys has been offering weekly updates to add in whole new trainers to play and Mortys to evolve. Did you miss any of the previous updates? Check 'em out:

That's the face Jerry should be making when in the ship with Rick

Pocket Mortys: New Ricks/Trainers From Season 3

The aesthetic possibilities of your multiplayer trainer have absolutely exploded in these five weeks since the third season started, with favorites like Noop Noop, Pickle Rick, and Wasteland Jerry now overtaking the various dimensional playgrounds.

If you don't want another typical humdrum Rick running around Mortopia, this week you can now play as Giant Inside Out Summer, Schnoopy Bloopers, or the truly bizarre Risette Groupon. Grab yourself some tickets, head over to Salesman Rick's, and suit up!

Pocket Mortys: New Mortys In Weekly Update #4

Sadly, there's no Eclipse Morty today, which seems like quite the oversight. I mean like, what's up with that dawg? The whole world was waiting for it! Oh well, we got some cool new additions to the Morty Deck anyway.

At the moment, we know of at least three Mortys added with this update covering Mortys #216 - 218:

  • Poorhouse Morty
  • Chimney Sweep Morty
  • Master Morty

There may be a couple more Mortys hiding around in one of the dimensions, considering we got six Mortys last week and five the week before that.

Poorhouse Morty

This one's got a very Tiny Tim vibe going on, and seems like he really needs a nice Christmas dinner before dying horribly as his father is laid off by Scrooge Rick.

Combining two Poorhouse Mortys together gives you the upgraded Chimney Sweep Morty, but both are pretty sad on the skill loadout.

  • Type: Paper
  • Starting Skills: Condition, Fixer Upper, Flail, Examine, Scrunch, Bunt, Gross Out, Rush
Chimney Sweep Morty

This exceedingly sad and dirty Morty was forced by his Rick to climb up chimneys and sweep away the soot in Victorian England. His reward was a slice of stale bread and some drippings of dubious origin.

  • Type: Paper
  • Starting Skills: Condition, Fixer Upper, Flail, Examine, Scrunch, Bunt, Gross Out, Rush, Humiliate

Master Morty

No longer a down-on-his luck Morty, this one becomes the master of the estate when you combine Chimney Sweep Mortys together.

  • Type: Paper
  • Starting Skills: Condition, Fixer Upper, Flail, Examine, Scrunch, Bunt, Gross Out, Rush, Humiliate, Descale

Did you manage to track down any others besides these three? Let us know in the comments section below! If you haven't caught Rick And Morty Season 3 Episode 5 yet, do yourself a favor and catch up at the Adult Swim streaming site.

That's all for this week's Pocket Mortys update - catch you R&M fanatics again next Monday with update #6!

Pocket Mortys Season 3 Weekly Update 4: Noob Noob And Prisoner Mortys https://www.gameskinny.com/3nbl7/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-4-noob-noob-and-prisoner-mortys https://www.gameskinny.com/3nbl7/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-4-noob-noob-and-prisoner-mortys Mon, 14 Aug 2017 17:15:39 -0400 Ty Arthur

I'll be honest -- when I saw that the title of Rick And Morty season 3 episode 4 was "Vindicators 3: The Return Of Worldender," I was terrified we were in for another awful interdimensional cable adventure. Come at me bro, because those episodes aren't even remotely worth watching and never should have been made.

While those horrifyingly unfunny missteps are the only weak link in this otherwise stellar series, thankfully my fear of trekking down unscripted lane once again was unfounded. The odd mouthful of a title instead sees Rick taking the role of evil villain (well, more than his usual amount of evil villain) by killing off super heroes in devious ways.

An all new episode from this Adult Swim smash hit means even more new Ricks and new Mortys to find in the Pocket Mortys mobile game! Below we cover everything that arrived this week and is now available in the latest update.

There's been a whirlwind of new content added to Pocket Mortys every single Monday afternoon since the new season started. If you missed any of the latest updates, check out what's new in the Rickstaverse:

Pocket Mortys: New Ricks From Season 3

The big draw this week is of course Noob Noob, who is fast becoming this season's beloved offbeat character, taking the role of the unexpected Mr. Poopy Butthole.

Everyone's going to be running around as Noob Noob or Pickle Rick though -- so if you want to spice up the different dimensions with a little more color, there's also Hawaiian Summer and Hawaiian Rick to grab through the Salesman Rick's menu!

Pocket Mortys: New Mortys In Weekly Update #4

Last week's update saw an amazing five new Mortys added to the Morty Deck. Now that you've hopefully all found Mortys #205 - 209 and fought them to the death in multiplayer mode, you're in for a treat: there are six Mortys to find this week! They run the gamut across all three main Morty types and include another full trio to be upgraded. Anyone want to place bets now if we get seven next week?

Vindicator Morty

First up is the solo Vindicator Morty, who can't be evolved from or to anything.

Right now we know he's available through Club Rick coupons. It's a good bet he'll be found in one of the dimensions but it's not clear yet which specific one.

  • Type: Scissors
  • Skills: Outburst, Attention, Suit & Boot, Stare Down, Clarity, Stare Gaze, Rush, Mortify, Reboot
Hawaiian Morty

Next we have the ready-for-vacation Hawaiian Morty, sporting a boring white lei that seems to defeat the purpose of having a lei in the first place.

He doesn't upgrade at all, but that's OK, because he's got plenty of skills all about keeping himself happy.

  • Type: Paper
  • Skills: Flair, Lick, Reminisce, Love Bug, Pout, New Wave, Love Yourself, Exfoliate, Ricky Tikki Tavi
Sherlock Morty

This week's final solo Morty added to the Morty Deck, the investigative Sherlock Morty sports a handsome hat... but still his regular yellow shirt. Boo!

  • Type: Paper
  • Skills: Preach, Brand, Blind Swing, Stare Down, Protect, Shatter, Extort, Nod Off, Sign Off, Attrition
Prisoner, Felon, and Federation Prisoner Morty

Finally, we cap off with a three Morty upgrade path that goes from the scantily clad Prisoner Morty to the more appropriately dressed Felon Morty and finally ending with the bad ass Federation Prisoner Morty.

  • Type: Rock
  • Skills: Outburst, Slam, Dead Stare, Stare Down, Blood Pressure, Nail, Heave Down, Nod Off, Humiliate (Felon Morty and Federation Prisoner Morty only), Juice (Federation Prisoner Morty only)

Did you miss Rick And Morty Season 3, Episode 4? If you want to see a not-so-thinly veiled Guardians Of The Galaxy get torn to bits, check it out at the Adult Swim website, and let us know what you've thought of this highly anticipated season so far in the comments below!

Pocket Mortys Season 3 Weekly Update 3: Pickle Rick! https://www.gameskinny.com/2za2j/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-3-pickle-rick https://www.gameskinny.com/2za2j/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-3-pickle-rick Mon, 07 Aug 2017 14:46:01 -0400 Ty Arthur

Rick And Morty Season 3 has been absolutely killing it -- giving fans everything they want, from the resurrected Phoenix Person to Summer throwing down in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

For those who missed the cosmically awesome memo: every single week that a new episode of the show airs, Pocket Mortys will get a brand new update with additional Ricks and Mortys to play in multiplayer and the single player campaign.

Pocket Mortys: New Ricks From Season 3

After Lawyer Morty from Season 3 weekly update #1 and Wasteland Morty from weekly update #2, this week's episode gave us something we've been waiting a long, long time for: Pickle Rick. As a bonus, it's even more fun to shout loudly at random times than Tiny Rick!

Of course the upgraded Rat Suit Rick is also now available from Salesman Rick's, as well as Sunday Best Summer ready for some serious therapy and the intergalactic assassin Jaguar.

      Yeah, this show gets weird.

Pocket Mortys: New Mortys In Weekly Update #3

Last week it seemed at first that Wasteland Morty was the only new addition. But then...BAM! Out of nowhere we got the limb-possessed Giant Arm Morty as well, leading us to believe there would be two new entries to be found in Mortopia somewhere.

As it turns out, that wasn't the case, and we vastly underestimated what was happening on the new Morty front. Instead, this week's update gives us a whopping five new Mortys!

First up is the paper type Sunday Best Morty, who is found in Mortyland and has the following possible skills available:

Hug, Provoke, Machine Wash, Wear Down, Smooch, Pout, Wedgie, and Recitation.

Next up is a proper three part Morty evolution, which has been missing from recent updates. Mortys #206 - 208 are the scissors types Cucumber Morty, Pickle Morty, and Pickled Morty.

The are all found on Plumbubo Prime 51b (in addition to being available to earn randomly at Club Rick) and feature the following skills:

Encrust, Bunch Up, Sprout, Flail, Salivate, Swing, Harden, Transplant, Regenerate (Pickle Morty and Pickled Morty), and Mind Meld (Pickled Morty).

Finally, Morty #209 is the rock type Concerto Morty, who has truly terrifying smile and is found in Mortyland and Mortopia. His possible skill lineup is as follows:

Fur Ball, Drool, Slam, Strengthen, Ouija, Wrangle, Rush, Grab, and Golden Touch.

If you haven't caught up to the show yet (and shame on you, by the way) you can catch the latest Rick And Morty season 3 episodes via the Adult Swim website.

Let us know when you manage to snag these new Mortys, and be sure to check out our full Master Morty List to see what each Morty does and where you can find them.

Pocket Mortys Season 3 Weekly Update 2: Wasteland Morty! https://www.gameskinny.com/6z4t2/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-2-wasteland-morty https://www.gameskinny.com/6z4t2/pocket-mortys-season-3-weekly-update-2-wasteland-morty Mon, 31 Jul 2017 14:38:00 -0400 Ty Arthur

Last week's weekly Season 3 Pocket Mortys update gave us the Pog-collecting Lawyer Morty and his thin-skinned countepart Judge Morty, along with a handful of new Ricks to take on multiversal adventures.

Now it's gotten all Fury Road up in here as Rick And Morty Season 3 Episode 2: Rickmancing The Stone finally arrived last night! It was a long wait since the first episode aired all the way back in April, but the absurd delay was well worth the end result.

As usual, Adult Swim made it as weird and inconvenient as possible to watch the episode, airing it live on a loop between panel segments on a site that would randomly decide to stop working every few minutes.

If you actually got to watch it, the beloved returning series took on Mad Max, with wasteland iterations of all your favorite characters -- and mobile spin-off Pocket Mortys has followed suit today with Season 3 weekly update #2!

For those who missed the premiere, the episode is now blessedly available in a non-live loop format and can be streamed directly (albeit with ads) over at the Adult Swim website. Apparently, it's supposed to show up on Hulu at some point, but no dice so far.

As usual, Morty is not impressed with Rick's highjinks

New Mortys In Weekly Update #2

Only a single new Morty was released with this update, making it quite a bit sparser than early updates, but since we're getting a new version every week for eight solid weeks, some will be lighter than others.

Looking like he badly needs a blood bag infusion and that he has taken too many hits from an exhaust port, this week we get the pale, big-eyed Wasteland Morty!

He's a scissors type who can be acquired randomly through Club Rick but as of this writing doesn't seem to spawn in the wild anywhere. His potential skill lineup is as follows:

  • Outburst
  • Tate-Ochi
  • Flail
  • Belch
  • Probe
  • Mortify
  • Mind Rage
  • Spear
  • Entertain
  • Bone Extract

Although we only got a single Morty, four new avatars are now available, all in wasteland renditions of Rick, Jerry, Beth, and of course, Summer, since so much of the episode revolved around her for a change.

Pick 'em up in Salesman Ricks and bring some dystopian wasteland action to Mortopia and beyond!

Welcome to the Wasteland and Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!

As Rick And Morty Season 3 finally arrives after long delays, Pocket Mortys is kicking into high gear -- not only with the arrival of its own comic book, but also with weekly updates offering new Mortys based on each and every episode of the season!

Since Episode 1 already aired as an April Fool's "gag" on a repeating 24-hour reel earlier this year, the first update is arriving ahead of the Rick And Morty Season 3 premiere date of July 30.

Below we've got a full run down of what you can now get once the app updates to the latest version, including new Mortys #200 and 201. Expect that Morty Deck to expand significantly over the coming 10 weeks with each new episode!

New Mortys In Weekly Update #1

We all knew it was coming: Morty #200 in the complete roster of Mortys is Lawyer Morty (sadly minus his fabled collection of pogs). A stooge that is kept around by the council of Ricks for his fun factor rather than his legal expertise, he's not the kind of guy you want representing you in a court case.

Battling rival Mortys to the death, on the other hand, is more inline with Lawyer Morty's skillset. Lawyer Morty is a paper type that can be found immediately at level 1 in the Mortyland section of multiplayer mode, as well as in other areas in upgraded versions. His available skill lineup includes:

  • Chastise
  • Recitation
  • Hornswaggle
  • Soul Search
  • Fortify

 Lawyer Morty

Two lawyer Mortys can be combined to upgrade to the more powerful (and easily riled up) Judge Morty, in addition to him being found in the wild in Pocket Mortys' multiplayer mode.

Besides upgraded stats and much higher health, Judge Morty gets extra available skills to learn above and beyond Laywer Morty's basic lineup. Available skills for Judge Morty include:

  • Cheek Pinch
  • Chastise
  • Dig
  • Outpour
  • Recitation
  • Hornswaggle
  • Soul Search
  • Strengthen
  • Erase
  • Fortify

If you haven't seen the hilarious non-episode segment that Judge Morty is taken from, buckle up and get ready for a wild, and very, very NSFW ride in the video below.

This scene isn't actually in the show, but comes from a panel appearance where the cast of Rick And Morty read a transcript of actual court case The State of Georgia v. Denver Fenton Allen (yes, everything in the clip below was said by real human beings in a real court of law).

The animation was later added in by a dedicated fan and is now considered quasi-cannon, since there are countless universes with different Ricks and Mortys in every conceivable occupation.

New Ricks In Weekly Update #1

Two new Mortys deserve at least three new Ricks to try out in multiplayer or campaign mode, and that's what we get with the Season 3 Episode 1 weekly update.

First up is the inaccurately titled Weird Rick (which seems like it describes every Rick if you ask me), who is just a normal Rick in a wind breaker, followed by the stylish sci-fi Radar Rick, and finally military leader Commander Rick.

In campaign mode, these three are available for 10 Blips And Chitz coupons. As with all the current trainer lineup, the new Ricks are mostly just for aesthetic purposes and to differentiate players. They don't actually offer any in-game changes during battle or any particular perks over the other Ricks.

Pocket Mortys: The Absolute Best and Most Powerful Mortys https://www.gameskinny.com/gbcaz/pocket-mortys-the-absolute-best-and-most-powerful-mortys https://www.gameskinny.com/gbcaz/pocket-mortys-the-absolute-best-and-most-powerful-mortys Mon, 10 Jul 2017 17:20:16 -0400 Ty Arthur

With 198 different Mortys currently available as Season 3 of Rick And Morty gets started, there's now more choices than the average trainer has time to go through while trying to put together the best deck they can in Pocket Mortys.

If you want the absolute best lineup of all four types of Mortys without a lot of trial and error, below we cover the best and strongest entries in each category.

How are we determining the best? We're comparing stats, skill distribution (weighted heavily towards Mortys with more attack skills than buff/debuff skills), base skill hit chance, and rarity. Some Mortys might have slightly more powerful attacks -- but if you rarely come across them, they have lower hit percentage chance, or have mostly buff skills, we're passing them over in favor of more immediately useful Mortys.

The Best Untyped Mortys in Pocket Mortys

In addition to the two untyped Mortys listed below, the new female Morticia added in Pocket Mortys' multiplayer mode is also a killer untyped option -- but that one is a rare find.

Base Morty

In campaign mode, you're stuck with your base Morty taking up a slot of any given Morty Deck -- so you want him at his best. Although Base Morty doesn't counter any other type, he also won't ever be countered or deal less damage due to a contrary type. And all of his attacks have extremely high accuracy.

His best attacks to assign are Swing, Rush, Fierce Lunge, and Unleash, which all have a 95% base hit chance and scale up in power from 90 to 140. The only downside to Unleash is its low AP: you get a measly 5 attacks before having to use an AP recovery item.

In the campaign, you should pump your Mega Seeds into your base Morty if you aren't saving them to craft Level Up Seeds. Since he never evolves, putting as many Mega Seeds into him as possible is your main method of improving his stats. With enough Attack and Speed Seeds, your base Morty will be able to one-shot most enemies.

Cronenberg Morty

It may take a while to put together and isn't the most exciting lineup in terms of options, but one of the best builds in the entire game is 1 base Morty + 4 Cronenberg Mortys.

With all untyped Mortys you won't ever take tons of damage from a bad type match up -- and just like the base Morty, Cronenbergs have high accuracy attacks that deal loads of damage.

In some ways, Cronenberg even outclasses base Morty, since his most powerful attacks have 8 AP rather than 5. Set his attack lineup with Swing, Mutate, Mangle, and whatever buff you prefer. With a few Attack Mega Seeds, he'll be one-shotting enemies just like your base Morty.

The Best Paper Mortys in Pocket Mortys

Three Eye Morty

After evolving a No Eye Morty to a One Eye Morty (wait, what?) you can finally put two of those together to get the nonsensical Three Eye Morty.

The main draw here is that Three Eye Morty can learn three separate high damage, high accuracy attacks: Erase (base power 70), Death Stare (base power 95), and Piercing Stare (base power 108).

There are Paper Mortys with attacks of higher power (like Triple Denim Morty for instance), but they all have fewer total attack skills and usually at lower hit percentages. These include:

  • Off The Grid Morty: Made by evolving from Peace To Hippie Morty this paper type is a good substitute, although his base Hug attack is less powerful than Erase.
  • Rainbow Shirt Morty: Also among the best paper has to offer, as he has multiple high accuracy attacks, and will be at high level if you are making him through evolution (rather than finding him in the wild), since it takes five different evolution stages to reach the Rainbow Shirt.
  • Rick Morty: Evolved from Summer Morty to Jerry Morty to Beth Morty to finally Rick Morty, this paper Morty is another strong contender, as his most powerful attack both does damage and has a 50% chance to paralyze.

The Best Rock Mortys in Pocket Mortys

Everybody thinks the best rock type will be The One True Morty, but it's absolutely not. His base Condition attack doesn't deal that much damage, and his more powerful Ascend and Golden Touch skills have low amounts of AP. If you have all three abilities at once he can be a powerhouse, but overall there are better rock Mortys available that don't take nearly as much effort to acquire.

Reverse Mermaid Morty

As odd as it sounds, easily one of the most useful rock types is Reverse Mermaid Morty. His Drop Out skill does decent damage for a basic attack, while Crush and Hydro Blast significantly up the damage output later on.  He also has the untyped Bunt and Rush attacks, so you aren't stuck dealing only Rock damage in all situations.

For other strong rock contenders that have great stats and skill distribution, you can opt for these Mortys:

  • Mutant Flu Morty
  • Exoskeleton Morty (acquired through the Morty Games)
  • Wrestler Morty

The Best Scissors Mortys in Pocket Mortys

This one's a tough call, because there are a ton of scissors type Mortys with a variety of untyped and scissors attacks with similar power levels. It could all honestly come down to what level you managed to snag one at and whether you've been using Mega Seeds.

Multi Morty

For me, the best all around Scissors type is Multi Morty, made by evolving first from Double Morty to Triple Morty.

He has four separate untyped attacks of scaling power, as well as two strong scissors attacks of high damage: Mind Rage and Mind Meld.

If you haven't gotten ahold of a Multi Morty yet, other excellent scissors types with similar skills spreads are:

  • Guard Morty
  • Robot Morty

The vampire Old One Morty is also an interesting choice to consider as well, since he has extremely high powered untyped attacks and an attack with a chance to paralyze the enemy.

Get Even More Out Of Pocket Mortys

There you have it -- if you've got the correct skills assigned, your best lineup consists of Morty, Cronenberg Morty, Three Eyed Morty, Reverse Mermaid Morty, and Multi Morty. What do you think of our picks, and what's your preferred Morty Deck look like? Let us know in the comments!

Just in time for the highly-anticipated Rick And Morty Season 3 (now confirmed for July 30!), a multiplayer mode is finally available for Pocket Mortys.

While the experience is a little glitchy still -- I get disconnected anytime I try to choose the "Your Mortys" menu and the update wiped my campaign data -- overall, this MMORPG-lite version of Pocket Mortys is exactly what fans have been demanding.

If you want to know how to get started in multiplayer mode or which dimensions have which new Mortys available, head over to our beginner's guide here. Once you've got the basics down, now its time for the goods: how do you come out the victor in those multiplayer battles against other trainers?

Welcome to the bizarre level 1 dimension that is Mortyland!

Morty Leveling And Evolution

There's one big change you should immediately notice -- you are no longer required to have base untyped Mortys in your group! Yep, you can fill your whole five-Morty party with rock, paper, and scissors types instead.

That's not the only change, though, as you now have player level and evolution system changes.

Pocket Mortys Player Level Changes

When you raise your player level (by winning multiplayer battles), the level of the wild Mortys in the area goes up as well, which can make it harder to capture new Mortys.

It's not always a good idea to win mulitplayer matches until you've acquired a full stable of Mortys and leveled them slightly by fighting wild Mortys in your current dimension.

Pocket Mortys Evolution System Changes

Evolution works a bit differently here as well, and you can't just get high level, fully evolved Mortys by mixing two of the same type together anymore. Instead, the Morty Daycare features a "blender" that raises Evolution Points until a Morty actually evolves to the next stage -- usually four Mortys of the same type are required.

Sacrificing a poor Strawberry Morty to the blender

Winning Pocket Mortys Mutliplayer Fights

The focus of combat strongly shifts in multiplayer when playing against live players versus playing against the trainer AI in campaign mode. Healing items, cures for poison and paralysis, and attribute mega seeds are all much more important in multiplayer than in the campaign.

Besides the obvious bonus of using serum in tense battles against live players, there's an important reason to stay healed up. In the campaign mode you could just lose any battle you wanted and return to the healing center for free, but now there's a penalty for doing so.

Every battle you win increases an experience point multiplier -- the more you win, the quicker you level. That multiplier resets when you visit the healing center (including when you fully lose a battle and all your Mortys are dazed), so you need to regularly spend your Flurbos on serum and plutonic rocks.

This means you're going to have less of a stockpile of cash than normal. More Flurbos can be acquired by watching ads, but there are other ways. Loot crates randomly spawn across each dimension's map, so keep walking back and forth and more will appear.

So don't start losing battles, Sleep Garry!

Besides healing items, using defense, speed, and attack mega seeds can be a game changer since you want any advantage over another trainer who may have Mortys of the same level (or higher). If you choose to keep your base Morty for an untyped advantage, they are especially useful on him, since he can't evolve into a new form.

When picking Mortys for your deck, speed becomes an important attribute -- even more so than health -- since you want your attack to go off first. In the reverse of the main game mode, buffs and debuffs can actually be useful -- especially if you are using healing items during battle. Hurting an enemy Morty's speed and accuracy can totally mess up the other trainer's strategy.

As always, swap your Mortys for the type advantage mid-fight when you have the health to spare (paper versus rock, rock versus scissors, scissors versus paper). If you don't have the upper hand on speed and type, wait until a Morty is nearly dazed, then use a super serum and watch your opponent cry sweet tears of anguish.

Some trainers duking it out in Mortyland

Challenges

Newly added with the multiplayer update, Challenges in Pocket Mortys offer another way to get a steady influx of Flurbos to spend.

Since you'll be spending way more than in the campaign, completing these daily tasks can be crucial. Each task resets a set amount of time after it is completed (rather than resetting each morning), and the current Challenge lineup consists of:

  • Master Craftsperson -- craft 5 items
  • Morty Catcher -- catch 3 wild Mortys
  • Giver of Mortys -- donate 2 Mortys to friends
  • Master Trainer -- gain 3 Morty Levels
  • Hoarder -- pick up 5 crates
  • Scholar -- gain 3 player levels
  • Extrovert -- make 3 friendships
  • Frenemy -- complete 3 friend battles
  • Brawler -- complete 10 trainer battles
  • Streaker -- win 30 trainer battles

That's all the basics you need to know to dominate in Pocket Mortys multiplayer mode -- see you in Mortyland and beyond for a fight or two!

Pocket Mortys Multiplayer Starter Guide https://www.gameskinny.com/5ebi8/pocket-mortys-multiplayer-starter-guide https://www.gameskinny.com/5ebi8/pocket-mortys-multiplayer-starter-guide Thu, 06 Jul 2017 10:42:38 -0400 Ty Arthur

This has been the #1 question ever since Pocket Mortys was first released: when will this Pokemon-inspired game get the multiplayer mode it deserves? That answer finally is -- right now!

Yep, you can finally trade Mortys and battle other Ricks (or Jerrys or Beths or Scary Terrys or many more!) on your quest to become the best Morty trainer in the multiverse!

Getting Started With Pocket Mortys Multiplayer

The game requires that you have 1 badge already earned in the campaign before you can engage in multiplayer. No big deal, you might be thinking, I've got dozens of badges! Well.... you might not.

I'm hoping this was a brief one-time bug that will get fixed, but just in case it isn't you may want to hold off on updating to get multiplayer for a day or two. When I downloaded the update, my save game was wiped... and I lost all my Mortys and quest progress.

I'm typing through the pain right now to bring you this article. I imagine this is something like what Rick felt when having to watch Bird Person terribly die right in front of him.

Welcome back to Level 1 :(

Starting Avatars in Pocket Mortys Multiplayer Mode

Other than battling live players, the big draw in this update is getting new avatars besides different versions of Rick. The starting pool doesn't have any mechanical or combat difference, and is solely for aesthetics. Here are your options:

  • Rick
  • Floopy Doops
  • Paul Fleischman
  • Sleepy Garry
  • Governess Ava Rickinsocks

These aren't the only options available, however. Much like the Rick skins in the base game, new avatars become available as you level up and explore multiplayer dimensions.

After picking your starting avatar, be sure to pull up the main menu where a new "Challenges" icon can be found. Going a MMORPG route, there are now daily quests - everything from catching X wild Mortys to giving friends X number of Mortys in trades - offering up all sorts of goodies when completed.

How to Start a Battle in Pocket Mortys Multiplayer Mode

Once you've got your new avatar, it's time to investigate the multiplayer hub, which serves the same purpose as the Citadel of Rick in the campaign mode. Your first order of business should be head south and west to watch ads with Mr. Meeseeks and get some random items and the new currency -- Flurbos.

You'll notice you only have two sad level 5 Mortys to begin with, and that won't work, so before entering a dimension or fighting another live player, head North past all the buildings to find an area where wild Mortys roam. Buy a few manipulator chips and nab three more for a full party.

Want to initiate a multiplayer battle? Just walk up to any other player wandering around the hub and tap. They have 25 seconds to respond and a battle just like with any trainer in the campaign mode will begin.

Be careful though -- players like to swap out Mortys for maximum effectiveness a lot more often than trainers, so make sure you've got a solid lineup of rock, paper, and scissors types!

Don't worry, there's plenty more options available down the line!

Dimensions in Pocket Mortys Multiplayer Mode

Much like the campaign, there are multiple dimensions to explore in multiplayer mode -- except these ones aren't randomized. Instead, you pick a dimension, with new ones becoming available as you level up your avatar.

You read that correctly -- now your Rick has a level as well, which goes up as you battle other players. More than a dozen new Mortys were added in this update as well, with some only spawning in certain dimensions (see full list below).

The current dimension lineup consists of:

  • Mortyland: Minimum level 1
  • Plumbubo Prime 51b: Minimum level 10
  • Mortopia: Minimum level 20
  • GF Mortanic: Minimmum level 30

    Picking a new dimension

New Mortys in Pocket Mortys Multiplayer Mode

Mortys 179 - 198 in the Deck were introduced with this multiplayer update and are (currently) only found in the multiplayer dimensions. They aren't currently found in the wild during the campaign, although that's likely to change in a future update. These new Mortys are listed in the table below, along with their types and the locations where you can find them.

Morty Type Location
179. Survivor Morty Rock Mortyland
180. Survivalist Morty Rock Mortyland
181. Wild Man Morty Rock Mortyland
182. Wild Mascot Morty Paper Mortyland

How to Capture the Rarest Mortys in Pocket Mortys https://www.gameskinny.com/e87ed/how-to-capture-the-rarest-mortys-in-pocket-mortys https://www.gameskinny.com/e87ed/how-to-capture-the-rarest-mortys-in-pocket-mortys Wed, 05 Jul 2017 17:11:40 -0400 Ty Arthur

The number of Mortys to beat down and capture with a manipulator chip just keeps on growing with each new update to Pocket Mortys, but some Mortys are more difficult than others to find and tag.

Most Mortys can be acquired by spending those precious Blips and Chitz tickets -- but it's a randomized prize process, so that's not a particularly efficient way of acquiring a large Morty Deck unless you have some cash to burn.

Below we cover how to nab all the rarest Mortys, or those that have difficult methods for acquiring outside the norm. While trying to catch any of these rare Mortys, there's one strategy worth keeping in mind, even though it is technically "cheating." Pocket Mortys auto saves regularly, but not constantly -- so if you mess up and accidentally kill the Morty you are trying to capture in 1 hit (or it destroys itself with an Implode attack), you can shut down the app and restart for another chance.

At most you will only be a minute or two behind where you previously were located, and that rare Morty should be back in the wild and ready for another capture attempt.

Keep in mind that any Morty numbered 179 and up is currently only available for those who got on the multiplayer beta, so if you can't find those Mortys yet, they won't be available for you until the new multiplayer update rolls out to everyone. (To see which number Morty you're going after, check out our complete list of all Mortys in Pocket Mortys for all the info you need.)

 No Beta? No Mortox!

Finding Rare Mortys in Pocket Mortys

About 20 or so Mortys are either designated as "rare" (meaning they spawn in dimensions less often than other Mortys), or they require very specific methods for capturing that are a little outside the norm.

Those that spawn less frequently (although due to sheer chance they may still show up for you on your first visit to a dimension) are:

  • Mortys 68 - 79
  • Mortys 100 - 101
  • Morty 111
  • Mortys 115 - 116
  • Mortys 157 - 158
  • Morty 165
  • Morty 178
  • Mortys 182 - 183
  • Mortys 187 - 188
  • Mortys 192 - 193
  • Mortys 197 - 198

For most of these Mortys, there's no real trick to capturing them other than continuously exploring dimensions. If you don't find the one you're looking for but don't want to increase the difficulty on the next go around, don't defeat the trainer and get the badge -- instead, lose a battle or use a courier flap to return to the Citadel. Then enter the portal again for a new batch of randomized Mortys to find.

There's more than just rarity to consider however, as some Mortys only appear in the wild after you have reached a set amount of badges. For instance, the highly sought-after female Morty named Morticia will only start spawning after you've earned 45 badges, and the family-obsessed Jerry Morty will appear after you've earned 17 badges.

If you just can't seem to find one particular Morty you are after no matter how much you explore, try beating a few trainers to earn some more badges first.

Want Cronenberg Morty? You Need 40 Badges First!

How to Get One True Morty and Power Level Egg Mortys

Egg Morty is acquired by completing the "New Chef In The Rickchen" quest by giving a Purified Fleeb to Masy Kallerax after acquiring eight badges.

The only problem is that Egg Morty has no attacks, so getting him to hatch into the One True Morty by reaching level 20 is a massive pain. There are four main methods for leveling up the Egg Morty to finally get your One True Morty.

Egg Morty Leveling Method 1

This is the most tried and true method, but its also very slow and will cause you a few headaches. All you are doing here is placing Egg Morty at the top spot of your group so he always pops up first during any battle.

As soon as the battle starts, just swap to a different Morty. The Egg Morty will acquire a small amount of experience each time you do this, even though he doesn't deal any damage. It will take a long time, but eventually you'll gain levels.

The downside here is that you have one less Morty in your group to actually fight, and your other Mortys will take more damage because the enemy will get to attack first when you switch away from Egg Morty.

Egg Morty Leveling Method 2

Although this takes even more time, it has less of the headaches than the previous method. Simply put your Egg Morty and a group of lower level Mortys together at Boot Camp and send them out.

It takes a full 24 hours per Boot Camp expedition, but Egg Morty will level each time -- and you won't lose out on having a full group of Mortys for exploring dimensions.

Egg Morty Leveling Method 3

Have lots of Mega Seeds on hand? Combine them together to create Level Up Seeds and use them all on Egg Morty. Its unlikely you'll get him all the way to level 20 using this method, but it can sure shorten the waiting period while using the other methods.

Egg Morty Leveling Method 4

This is the most efficient method possible, but it does require very specific circumstances. You'll need a Mr. Meeseeks box and enough badges to be ready for a new Council of Ricks battle. Put Egg Morty anywhere in your group besides the top spot, and beat all of the enemy Rick's Mortys except for the last one.

When you get to the last fight, switch to Egg Morty and immediately use the Mr. Meeseeks box to win the battle. Your Egg Morty will earn experience as though he beat all the enemy Mortys, and several level ups are guaranteed!

 The One True Morty

In all likelihood, you'll end up using a combination of all four methods, since its unlikely you'll immediately be ready to go with a Mr. Meeseeks box at a Citadel battle.

No matter what method(s) you use, keep grinding and eventually you can enjoy your One True Morty!

How to Get Sun / Moon Morty

Hands down, these are the most annoying Mortys to acquire in Pocket Mortys. Not only do they spawn rarely, but they also make it next to impossible to acquire.

Normally you'd damage a Morty into red health so the manipulator chip has a higher chance of working -- but that's not possible here, as both of these Mortys immediately use Implode and kill themselves on the first turn!

When you see a Sun or Moon Morty in the wild, first pull up the Salesman Rick's screen and buy a manipulator chip. Then on the first turn of battle, immediately use the chip even though the Morty is at full health. At a full green health bar, there's an incredibly slim chance of the chip working, but this gambit is the only way to actually capture one in the wild.

Don't forget -- if it doesn't work, you can always shut down the app and start again. It may take 10 or 15 tries, but eventually the numbers will work in your favor. (Thanks, RNGesus!)

Combining two Moon Mortys gets you the Sun Morty, and two of those together results in the rarer Black Hole Morty.

 Imploding Moon Morty

How to Get Mortys from the Morty Games

Five particular Mortys are not available in the wild, and can only be added to your collection by completing each tournament in the Morty Games.

Unless you have many spare Blips and Chitz tickets, this is a lengthy procedure, as there's a full 24 hour wait between each segment of every tournament. The Mortys you'll have to acquire through the Morty Games are:

  • Headism Morty for beating Show Me What You Got
  • Turbulent Juice Morty for beating Interdimensional Morty-Thon 14
  • Jerry Fan Morty for beating Band Of Jerrys
  • Exoskeleton Morty for beating Snowball's Morty Pageant
  • Sexy Devil Morty for beating Mr. Needful's Vice & Virtue

If you've been stumped by these battles that force you to use specific types of loaner Mortys (rather than your own crew), you can check out our full breakdown of how to win the Morty Games for more tips.

Pocket Mortys: How to Unlock New Ricks https://www.gameskinny.com/6nvpb/pocket-mortys-how-to-unlock-new-ricks https://www.gameskinny.com/6nvpb/pocket-mortys-how-to-unlock-new-ricks Sun, 02 Jul 2017 22:11:23 -0400 Ty Arthur

At this point, there's nearly 200 Mortys to find and evolve, and you've gotta catch 'em all of course. But did you know you can collect other types of Rick as well in Pocket Mortys?

Just stroll on down to Salesman Rick's shop in the Citadel. If you're out on a dimension-travelling adventure though, you can still swap out your current Rick straight from the Morty Pad menu. Just tap the new Salesman Rick's button in the center and choose "Customize" instead of "Items."

    Accessing Salesman Rick's

There are currently dozens of new Ricks beyond the standard scientist look. Personally I dig Aqua Rick and Karate Rick, but what I really is that want that badass Greed Rick from the Morty Games (sadly not available yet).

So what's the point of all the new Ricks? At the moment, it's aesthetics only, changing how you look while wandering around the Citadel or any of the trainer dimensions.

That's about to change though! The multiplayer beta -- due to be released in final form as a new update for all players before too long --  lets you level up your Rick and offers differences between each Rick variety. You'll even be able to buy other trainers to play as -- such as Beth, Scary Terry, or Ants In My Eyes Johnson.

As your Rick levels, new dimensions become available for battling other players and trading Mortys. Stay tuned for full info on the new Pocket Mortys multiplayer feature coming soon!

Dear god I want this Greed Rick so badly

If you're just unlocking new Ricks, you'll see quite a few of them are shaded out. You've got to unlock those by earning more badges and defeating Council members.

Some you can buy with paltry Schmeckles earned from beating trainers, while others must be bought with those precious Blips and Chitz tickets, which are extremely rare (for those who aren't laying down real world money on a virtual time wasting game, that is).

    What stylish head gear!

Everybody ready to let out a mighty "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub" at the prospect of Rick And Morty Season 3 landing? If you've got yourself a mobile device, there's a whole bunch of universes to explore within the series even before the new season arrives!

Taking classic Pokemon gameplay and injecting the show's typical dark humor, Pocket Mortys has you taking on the role of a Rick... and battling your Morty to the death against other trainers.

Preparing To Fight Trainers

When exploring dimensions filled with enemy trainers, you need to be picking up new wild Mortys to increase your options at the Morty Daycare. If you didn't plan ahead and craft manipulator chips for catching a wild Morty, you can now buy manipulator chips straight from the Salesman Ricks entry in the menu screen, rather than having to return to the Citadel.

When buying items in a dimensional quest, don't waste money on healing items. The game doesn't come right out and say this, but there's actually no penalty to losing and leaving a dimension when all your Mortys are knocked out -- especially since full healing is free at the Citadel of Ricks.

If you've run low on AP and health for all your Mortys, that's a good sign its time to lose a battle, heal up, and jump back in the dimensional portal again.

Of all the items to buy before fighting trainers, the courier flap in particular is a massive waste of 1,000 schmeckles, since you can just return for free by losing a battle with a trainer. Smart Ricks will save those schmeckles instead, and only use health and AP recovery items for Council of Rick battles or when playing the more high stakes Morty Games.

        Buying Manipulator Chips

Deck Lineup and Choosing Morty Skills

Before battling trainers, you can have up to three decks of Mortys to swap out, but in most cases you probably only need one. What's important in the deck lineup, however, is the distribution of types.

A Rick who is worth his salt should have all three types of Mortys - rock, paper, and scissors - in the deck to counter other trainers, or you will find yourself frequently losing battles.

Don't forget that you can swap out skills on individual Mortys when they level (or by visiting Lab Rick and spending tickets), and some Mortys of the same type have better attack lineups. In general, each Morty should ideally have one untyped and two typed attacks. Even if you are battling a Morty of the stronger opposing type (such as rock fighting paper), an untyped attack will still deal normal damage.

Personally, I very rarely use the buff and debuff skills on any of the Mortys. Most battles don't last long enough for those status effects or reduced defense to matter, and they just take up a slot that could have an attack instead. If you do use buffs, obviously get rid of the weak ones as soon as possible when leveling and replace them with upgraded buffs labeled as strong.

     Choosing A Balanced Deck Lodaout

Trainer Battle Basics

Besides fighting wild Mortys to capture, any trainer will automatically initiate a battle when you cross their line of sight.

Don't just tromp across their view right away though! Instead, take a moment to study the lineup -- as not only can you clearly see what their full Morty deck looks like, but more importantly you can also tell which Morty will be the first in the battle.

Why does this matter? If you know your Mortys, then it's a snap to change your lineup so that your first Morty will beat the other Morty's type for a quick win. For instance, if you know ahead of time that you are going to start the fight against a scissors-type Exo Omega Morty, then swap your lineup so you begin with a rock Morty.

Exo Omega Morty Will Be Your First Enemy With This Trainer

Even if you don't know each Morty type by heart, a savvy Rick can easily guess what type they will be based on certain characteristics.

  • Anything hair-focused is going to be a scissors Morty because they need a haircut, as is anything scratchy like a Morty carrying cats. Sometimes things with two prongs -- like bunny ears -- will also be scissors.

  • Anything strength or stability focused is usually rock, such as Karate Morty, and of course Punk Morty is rock (because punk rock, duh).

  • Most of the lineup focused on frailty (such as Old Morty), or a non-descript Morty (like Orange Shirt Morty), or anything super weird (like Test X46 Morty) will usually be paper.

If the trainer has a Morty in their lineup that counters your current Morty, they will switch to that one for an advantage. Even if you aren't sure what type an enemy Morty is, you can usually guess correctly based on what you are currently using. For instance, if you just beat an opponent using a paper Morty, the trainer will probably throw out a scissors type, meaning you've got better than even odds of coming out on top if you switch to rock.

This Is A Bad Matchup - Switch Types, Quick!

Pocket Mortys Leveling

When level 26 Mortys are battling level 14 Mortys, the three main types really don't matter nearly as much -- so leveling is key to beating those trainers and getting more badges.

Here's the thing though -- don't earn badges too quickly if you want to level and find more wild Mortys! Each badge you earns increases the power of the next dimension's trainers and makes battles more difficult. So it's a better idea to purposefully lose a battle and return to heal a few times than to immediately go straight for the end trainer with a badge.

Don't forget to level your base Morty, who is untyped (and remember even typed Mortys have untyped attacks that can be used against their opposing types to good effect). If your best scissors Morty is already unconscious, pull out your base Morty to fight a rock type instead.

If you aren't saving level up seeds for the Egg Morty who can't fight in battle, putting them on your base Morty is a good idea, since the other types will level up on their own as you create new combos or capture new wild Mortys. You can end up with higher and higher level Mortys just by combining them into their second and third tier iterations, such as combining two Beard Mortys into a Hipster Morty.

For an edge in battle, you can increase individual stats on a Morty using the other types of seeds -- but this is more beneficial for max level Mortys or Mortys upgraded all the way to the third tier. Usually it's a better idea to save up the different seed types and use them to craft a level up speed. If you're spending any significant amount of time playing the game, those minor bonuses from stat seeds won't matter, since that Morty will likely be combined before long into something better.

Are your old Mortys falling behind and you haven't found a new one of high enough level in the correct type you need yet? Don't forget you can send 'em to bootcamp through the Morty Daycare! It takes 24 - 48 real world hours (unless you spend money on tickets), but is worth the wait if you need a specific type of Morty to be higher level.

Pocket Mortys: Guide to Winning the Morty Games https://www.gameskinny.com/kj736/pocket-mortys-guide-to-winning-the-morty-games https://www.gameskinny.com/kj736/pocket-mortys-guide-to-winning-the-morty-games Fri, 30 Jun 2017 13:48:39 -0400 Ty Arthur

The news we've all been waiting for has arrived -- Rick And Morty Season 3 drops July 30th, 2017! While we wait with baited breath for new episodes, there's still plenty of Pocket Mortys to play, including the Morty Games addition that brings in a whole new way to force your Mortys to terribly maim each other.

Located on the far west side of the Citadel, the Morty Games features five large themed tournaments, each broken down into a series of battles where you have limited resources and only loaned Mortys to draw on. To keep you coming back for more, there's a 24 hour cool down between each battle unless you spend Blips and Chitz tickets.

At the end of all those battles are five brand new, special Mortys that can only be won in the Morty Games and aren't found out in the wild while battling for badges.

    Welcome to the Morty Games!

Morty Games Selection Strategy

Each battle has a differing maximum number of points to spend (shown in the lower left corner) and each Morty or item you pick has a point value assigned (shown on the right side), meaning you have to be strategic in your picks.

In most battles you absolutely need one Morty of each type to counter the other Mortys, with leftover points used towards items. In a few battles, the other trainer doubles up on types (like two scissors Mortys). Those are noted in the trainer list below.

Buffs and debuffs in general aren't as useful here -- your goal is to kill as quickly as possible, so pick Mortys who have multiple attacks, and in particular pick ones that have one typed attack and one untyped attack.

Don't forget to compare each of the Morty stats and abilities by tapping the "i" icon on the far right side. Some Mortys have the same point value but one might have more health or attack power.

If you don't feel like guessing or learning through trial and error, you can cheat and use our handy breakdown below that shows you which specific lineup each enemy trainer will be using.

    Choosing a Morty Lineup

Winning The Morty Games

Dirty Rick (the guy at the storefront inside the Morty Games) will stash a handful of your items for 1,000 Schmeckles. This fabulous method of cheating is expensive, but frequently necessary. The enemy trainers get fresh new Mortys between each set of battles -- but you have to keep using your busted old Morty selection. Health is one thing, but if you're out of AP, then you might as well give up.

In the first round, you'll briefly see the enemy trainer. The Morty directly behind him or her is the first Morty you'll battle, so if you've memorized each Morty, you already know how you should set your lineup to counter in the first fight.

Unlike your typical Morty trainer in the wild, the Morty Games trainers will switch out Mortys mid-battle to screw with your attacks. Your goal is to take down the other Mortys as quick as possible, so if there's an obvious imbalance in level and type, switch out as well to get the type advantage -- but if you've got untyped attacks that will take care of the current enemy, just keep going.

If you aren't careful, you can end up in a death spiral where you are trying to switch out every turn and just keep getting smashed along the way instead of doling out any attacks in return.

Pocket Mortys is a mobile game for Android based on the [adult swim] television show Rick and Morty. Within the game, there are a number of craftable items that aid you in your quests.

The Microverse Battery is one craftable item that contains a miniature universe. In the show, the battery generates power through kinetic devices that Rick installs so the universe's inhabitants can power their homes and devices. Ultimately, they are not only powering their own world but also whatever device the battery is hooked up to.

How to Craft a Microverse Battery

The recipe for a Microverse Battery calls for a Motherboard (here's how to craft a motherboard). You will also need a Supercharged Battery using the recipe below.

At a crafting station, you will combine a Supercharged Battery, a Motherboard, and a Dark Matter Ball to craft the Microverse Battery.

When do you use the Microverse Battery?

In the game, you will need the Microverse Battery for two quests:

  • Feeling Rickcharged

The Microverse Battery is one of two items you can use to recharge the Robot Rick near the crafting station at the Citadel closest to the Shop. You can either give him a Supercharged Battery or a Microverse Battery. Once you have recharged the Robot Rick, you will receive Level Up Mega Seed.

  • Dude, Where's My Rick?

The Microverse Battery is also necessary for a quest that becomes available after you collect all 38 badges. In this quest, Dandy Rick will ask you for a Microverse Battery and in exchange, you will receive a Blips and Chitz coupon.

And that's it for the Microverse Battery. If you need more crafting recipes, check out this article on crafting recipes for Pocket Mortys! Happy crafting!

Pocket Mortys - How to Craft a Motherboard https://www.gameskinny.com/gnrh7/pocket-mortys-how-to-craft-a-motherboard https://www.gameskinny.com/gnrh7/pocket-mortys-how-to-craft-a-motherboard Thu, 04 May 2017 05:55:09 -0400 Jerline Justo

From Robots to Morty Manipulator Chips, Pocket Mortys features a crafting station, where you can create at least 34 items based on the materials received through rewards and dungeons. With crafting stations, you can craft healing serums, rocks, and cells that can help you through the game.

The Motherboard is also another helpful, craftable item. This complex device functions as a material for more complex crafts, like a Multiverse Battery or an IQ Enhancing Helmet.

With this guide, you can become authentic Motherboard crafters.

How to Craft a Motherboard

In order to craft a Motherboard, you will need these items.

Like other base items, Cables and Circuit Boards can be obtained either through rewards or dungeons. The Battery, on the other hand, can only be created through a craft station.

To craft a battery, you will need: Tin Can, Cable, and Fleeb.

After getting that Battery, Cable, and Circuit Board, combine these materials and viola, Motherboard!

Here's What You Can Make With It

Now that you got yourself a Motherboard, what can you do with it? Well, you can create higher and complex crafts by obtain specific materials. Here are some examples what you can craft with them.

Courier Flap

Courier Flap can teleport you back to the Citadel, but to get this item, you need a Battery, a Mutant Bacteria Cell, and of course, a Motherboard. Like the Battery, the Mutant Bacteria Cell can be crafted by combining Turbulent Juice and Bacteria Cell together.

Neutrino Bomb

With the Neutrino Bomb, you can demolish any living thing within seconds. Along with a Motherboard, you will need a Supercharged Battery, which is created with a Turbulent Juice and a Battery, and a Dark Energy Ball, which is created with a Bacteria Cell and a Fleeb.

Interdimensional Cable Box

Just as it sounds, you can watch cable in any dimension, but you will need a Supercharged Battery and Time Crystal with your Motherboard to get this item. Out of all these items, Time Crystal takes a bit more effort. It requires, a Purified Fleeb, which is created with a Bacteria cell and Turbulent Juice Tube, and a Dark Energy Ball.

----

Before selling those materials from the dungeon, try saving them and using them in a crafting station to get yourself a Motherboard. With it, you can create cool items to use on your adventures in Pocket Mortys. Whether its crafting a Interdimensional Cable Box or Motherboard, have fun crafting!

Pocket Mortys Winter 1.8 Guide: New Mortys and Investment Rick https://www.gameskinny.com/w7k59/pocket-mortys-winter-18-guide-new-mortys-and-investment-rick https://www.gameskinny.com/w7k59/pocket-mortys-winter-18-guide-new-mortys-and-investment-rick Sat, 17 Dec 2016 10:04:10 -0500 Ty Arthur

The Pokemon-inspired Pocket Mortys is easily the title most responsible for getting me into mobile gaming, which was a platform I just didn't devote much time to before this hilarious little gem landed at the beginning of the year.

Lots of additions have arrived since then, including Lab Morty and the Morty Games arena, and the freshly unveiled Winter 1.8 update gives you a new Rick store to interact with (and earn more schmeckles), along with an additional 10 Mortys to collect and upgrade.

As an aside, series fans should be paying attention to these additions to Pocket Mortys, as there's some serious question of whether we are currently seeing things now in updates that might be included in Rick and Morty season 3, which rumors peg as either dropping in March of 2017 -- or even Christmas 2016!

Regardless of the new season's release date, one thing's for sure: Pocket Mortys is getting some significant updates and we're going to check out the latest right now.

Investment Rick

Found just south of the portal, this new Rick doesn't technically sell anything but does require you give him money. If you drop 100 schmeckles and choose one of three different timed tiers, you will get back your investment and then some when the timer runs out.

The tiers are three hours for a 150 schmeckles return, six hours for a 225 schmeckles return and 24 hours for a 700 schmeckles return.

If you're wondering, yes, you can do all three at once, but you can't do the same tier more than once at a time. In other words, you have to actually wait three hours for the first investment to come back, and you can't do the same investment over and over at the same time if you have a lot of schmeckles on-hand already.

Essentially, this is just a clever way to get people to log in daily, rather than a depleting power resource or the typical daily rewards system featured in many freemium games.

Not seeing Investment Rick? I had to manually go into Google Play on my Android device and tap Update, as it didn't give me an auto-update on this one for some reason.

New Mortys

It wouldn't be an update without new Mortys, and that's exactly what the Winter 1.8 Pocket Mortys update brings, now tipping the total number to nearly 170 (remember when there were only 82?).

Paper Type Mortys

The paper type additions start with the sad-looking Seedling Morty, featuring the Cell Splitter paper-element attack plus the Gooey Discharge neutral attack.

Combining two Seedling Mortys gives you the three-headed Morty Of The Valley, which has all the same attacks with upgraded stats, plus the Sprout attack that lowers an enemy's defense and accuracy, but also gives them an attack boost, which is a bit of a wash.

For the final paper tier, combine two Mortys Of The Valley to get the fully upgraded Mortydrangea. This drooling, thorny monstrosity gains the Poison Spit attack and starts with much higher stats.

Mortydrangea Upgrade Path

Rock Type Mortys

This upgrade path has Morty eventually becoming a hard drinking noir detective. The path starts with Rookie Morty, who has the standard Neutralize and Slam attacks, in addition to Extort, which raises your defense.

Melding two Rookie Mortys creates the Detective Morty, who gains the Humiliate ability for lowering an enemy's attack power.

At the end of this evolutionary branch is Hardboiled Morty, who gets the crazy Attention power to raise attack, defense, speed and accuracy all in one shot.

Alas, it seems like they missed a golden opportunity for a joke by combining him with Egg Morty. Anyway ...

 Hardboiled Morty Progression

Scissor Type Mortys

Outside any progression path is a scissor type called Poorly Cloned Morty, who was clearly one of Rick's many mistakes. Despite his appearance, he's got crazy high stats and an absurd range of attacks, including debuffs, neutral attacks, scissors attacks and a poison ability called Vile Spew.

 Poorly Cloned Morty

Finishing off the 1.8 update additions are a trio of scissors types seeing Morty onto the path of culinary excellence, beginning with Kitchen Boy Morty. This bottom of the totem pole Morty has both Outburst and Nibble, in addition to the Mouth Off skill for lowering enemy accuracy.

Combining two Kitchen Boy Mortys creates Pastry Chef Morty, who gains the Slice And Dice attack. This one does several low power attacks in a row, each with decreasing accuracy.

And at the end of the road is Head Chef Morty, who gets the powerful Gooey Cheese scissors attack that deals damage and paralyzes foes.

Head Chef Morty Upgrade Path

And there you have it. All the Mortys -- and Rick -- that came with the latest 1.8 update to Pocket Mortys

What's your favorite new Morty added in with this winter update, and how much money do you plan on investing with the shady Rick? Let us know in the comments below.

5 Best Android Games from 2016 https://www.gameskinny.com/0laf7/5-best-android-games-from-2016 https://www.gameskinny.com/0laf7/5-best-android-games-from-2016 Mon, 26 Dec 2016 05:00:01 -0500 Janette Ceballos

There’s been so many great games released this year for consoles, phones and computers. Since the holidays are coming around, a new phone might be a great gift to give (or get), and what better way to use such a gift than to play fun games. For Android phones, here are a few choice selections sure to please any gamer, whether it’s because they are easy to learn, they're addictive, or they're just a great time.

Rolling Sky

To start off, we have a game that’s great for all ages. All you have to do is drag the ball on the screen left and right to avoid obstacles. It’s a simple concept, especially for mobile games, but it’s intense, quick and addicting. Nice visuals, simple controls and innovative levels bring interesting obstacles to play, always keeping you on your toes. Overall, this is a nice and challenging time-waster.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

This one’s a little different. It’s a card game that requires strategic planning, creating a bit of a challenge for players in deciding what decks give them the best chance of winning. You can play against the computer or check out the Arena mode, where you fight against other players for a greater competitive challenge, if that’s more your style.

In addition to being big, the game already has a released expansion, Mean Streets of Gadetzan, which offers new cards and battle opportunities to make this card game even more irresistibly addicting.

Pocket Mortys

Fun humor, weird premise. If you’re a fan of the show, this will be a blast. Basically, it’s like Pokemon: catch, train and combine over 70 types of Mortys and battle against other Ricks for glory and prizes. You can craft items to help you in battles like healing serums.

Just remember that it is an Adult Swim game, so it might not be suitable if you don’t like the humor of the show. Nevertheless, it’s a weird, creative battle game that provides loads of fun.

Pokémon GO

Of course, if Pocket Mortys is too weird, but you still want to catch virtual things you can make fight each other, Pokemon GO is another good option. This monster-catching app was incredibly popular when it first released and, while it’s not as loud as it once was, the game is still incredibly enjoyable.

You can catch and level up your pokémon to fight, take over and defend gyms, which are located in real-world locations. It’s a good game when you are out for a short while or if you are a fan of the franchise.

Atsume Neko: Kitty Collector

The final game for our list is the incredibly laid back cat collector you can just check in on from time to time. Place food and toys to attract a wide range of friendly felines, each with their own personalities and mementos.

The fun of the game is in the surprise of what little kitties will visit your yard. There’s also a bit of a technical challenge in trying to collect the rarer cats and collect mementos from them. Its simple, cute graphics make this a nice game to relax with.

There you have it, five of the top-rated games available for Android.

What are some of your favorite mobile games of the year? What do you think will top the charts next year? Be sure to let us know!

The best of gaming April Fool's pranks 2016 https://www.gameskinny.com/hpibl/the-best-of-gaming-april-fools-pranks-2016 https://www.gameskinny.com/hpibl/the-best-of-gaming-april-fools-pranks-2016 Fri, 01 Apr 2016 12:08:40 -0400 Ty Arthur

Forget Christmas or Halloween or Mass Effect 3's release date: April Fools is the best day of the year!

You can't trust anything you see today, and there have been some amazing zingers already from across the world of gaming on this much-loved holiday (OK, not everybody is a fan...but frankly seeing the rage of those who fall for the pranks is a significant portion of the fun.).

If you've been hiding underneath the digital covers to avoid getting trolled, we've rounded up the best of the best in today's bout of tomfoolery.

The Hearthstone MMO

Blizzard has a long and hallowed tradition of pissing people off by announcing MMOs that aren't actually happening on April 1st (remember that Starcraft one that had the world enraged?).

This year we've hit some sort of universe-shattering recursive paradigm, however. Hearthstone – a CCG based on the World Of Warcraft MMO – is apparently getting its own MMO, so would that just be World Of Warcraft or did a whole new dimension just pop into existence? Like, woah.

Google's Cardboard Plastic

Forget the Oculus Rift, because Google just gave us the most completely immersive headset experience you can possibly get. Amazing 360 degree view field, perfect audio, and it works with ALL apps!

What's more real than actual reality? (Probably the Hearthstone MMO, which I'm convinced is now seeping into our universe and overtaking this reality).

Dark Souls III The Movie

If you thought that animated short from Eli Roth was all the Dark Souls movie action you were getting this week, boy were you wrong. As it turns out, Far Cry isn't the only franchise that can go VHS retro. We can only hope that, much like Blood Dragon, this actually ends up being a real thing one day.

The Rage Quit Bot

Are you tired of having to actually rage quit a match by yourself? I mean, you've already thrown your controller across the room or bashed your keyboard into your monitor, so why should you then have to go through all the trouble of actually clicking a button to leave the match?

Rocket League has got you covered, with a patented new Rage Quit Bot that does all the work for you!

Project Bread Winner

Known for crafting high quality peripherals, Razer is finally giving gamers a tool they really want: the first gaming-grade kitchen appliance, so you can spend more time at your computer! Have a slice of ownage in the morning with this desperately long-overdue piece of hardware.

Wubba-Lubba Dub Dub!

Can't get enough Pocket Mortys? It's time to upgrade the Plumbus in your home! Everybody's got a Plumbus, but I bet you bought 'em low quality by the dozen at the local big box store.

Thankfully, Think Geek has decided to craft only the highest quality artistan Plumbuses (Plumusi?), made only using extra-virgin schleem. Pick yours up right here today.

Eau De Combat

A new fragrance exclusively for you hardcore Arma players has finally arrived! A press release about this already sold-out new perfume proclaims:

“Offering an unapologetic blend of florals, with a touch of soft gunpowder aroma, topped off with fresh notes of wood, mosses, and dirt, Arma Eau De Combat captures the heat of the moment and boosts your chances of victory in the trenches of seduction.”

Black Desert Online Adds Butt Poses

Angry soccer moms on the Internet might make Blizzard back down, but developer Pearl Abyss is made of stronger stuff. All new “butt pose” victory animations are being added into Black Desert Online's Crimson Battlefield PvP mode this week.

This is exactly what gaming needs more of these days

The Witcher 3 – Roach

In an interview with CD Projekt Red's head of the Bug Creation department, we finally discover why Roach behaved as she did in The Witcher 3 – and what's in store for her in future expansions.

Smite's New-ish God, Manticore

Long thought deleted from the practice match, the Manticore returns to offer nothing of real value, except for this hilarious video featuring dueling announcers:

Chocogo App

This would seriously make a lot of dreams come true. Which chocobo would you ride to work, and how many greens would you tip it?

Corn Hub

We all know what you pervs do the second you're done reading GameSkinny, so we thought this minor change to the PornHub website would interest you...

Well, my weekend's ruined...

What was your favorite April Fool's gaming prank this year that should have made our list?
