What Are All Backpack Battles Ranks?

You start at the Bronze rank in Backpack Battles, and there are eight ranks in total. The easiest ranks to climb are Bronze, Silver, and Gold, but it starts getting drastically more difficult from Platinum to Diamond and beyond. Here are all Backpack Battles ranks:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grandmaster
  • Grandma

Yes, you read that right. Grandma has the highest rank in Backpack Battles, while the rest of the ranks follow a familiar structure we’re used to in other competitive games. Climbing from Bronze to Platinum is fairly easy, and you can employ your own build. Climbing to Diamond is a different story.

How to Climb Ranks in Backpack Battles

I found myself stuck at Platinum with the original build that I made. Furthermore, I hear that climbing to Diamond and above requires abusing meta builds and a ton of grinding. Planning around damage increases and item positioning is a sound strategy, but broken interactions are required to climb higher ranks. My friend who reached Grandmaster told me it’s all up to RNG at that point since everyone is using almost the same build each match.

Lastly, note that around Diamond, the matchmaking times start getting horrendous as the player base isn’t large enough yet in the higher ranks. You can use this time to look up meta builds if you want to climb higher.

That’s it for my guide on all Backpack Battles ranks. For more Backpack Battles check out how to make Darksaber and the complete list of all recipes.
