CoD MW3: How to Unlock Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 introduced Aftermarket parts that you can unlock through weekly challenges. The In this guide, I’ll go over how to unlock the Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit is the conversion kit for the MW3 DG-58 LSW.

How to Unlock Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit in Modern Warfare 3

The Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit is unlocked by completing five Week 2 Challenges in Multiplayer or Zombies mode in MW3. The Jak kit will immediately become available within the attachment customization options of the DG-58 LSW once you complete all five. Once Season 1 starts, the Jak Nightshade will then be available as an Armory unlock, completed through daily challenges like any other Armory unlock.

All Challenges to Unlock the Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit

Unlike the daily challenges, the weekly challenges are a bit hidden. You’ll find them in the Start Menu under the Challenges tab. This is the same menu where you locate your K/d. Here are all of the available Week 2 challenges for the Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit.

• Multiplayer Mode
  • Get 10 Operator assists with a Recommend Weapon.
  • Get 25 Operator kills while moving with a Recommended Weapon.
  • Get 20 Operator hipfire kills with the DG-58 LSW.
  • Get 20 Operator hipfire kills with a Recommended AR.
  • Get 20 Operator kills while ADS with a Recommended AR.
  • Get 3 Operator Collateral kills with a Recommended Weapon.
  • Get 20 Operator kills while ADS with the DG-58 LSW.
• Zombies Mode
  • Complete 5 Contracts.
  • Get 125 Kills with a Recommended Battle Rifle while having at least 4 active Perks.
  • Kill 3 Big Bounty HVTs with a Recommended Battle Rifle.
  • Get 10 consecutive kills without taking damage x10 with a Recommended Weapon.
  • Get 25 Hellhound kills with a Recommended Weapon.
  • Get 100 Hipfire kills with a Recommended AR.
  • Get 100 Critical kills with a Recommended AR.

While there are plenty of options, you can only successfully complete the Jak Nightshade requirements by completing five challenges from Zombies or Multiplayer. So, you’ll need to choose a mode to focus on. I completed most of the challenges in each set by simply playing both modes, but I found the Zombies challenges to be easier to complete.

The Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit will remix the DG-58 LSW, a standard LMG. LMGs are known for being bulkier than an AR, offering an advantage at mid to long-range gunfights with a larger magazine and more stopping power. The Jak Nightshade Rifle Kit transforms the weapon into a lightweight LMG, enabling a faster movement speed and greater flexibility on the battlefield. Here are all of the changes.

The Nightshade Kit brings the LSW closer to a traditional AR in stats. I recommend you experiment combining attachmanets with the Kit to find your own preferences within the weapon’s remix.
