When Is The Fallout 76 Map Expansion?

Back in December of 2023, Bethesda Game Studios teased everything we can expect to arrive in 2024, including new events, quests, and seasons. However, the most exciting part of the news was — a whole map expansion.

The team has yet to announce when we can expect the expansion to arrive, but they did say, ‘later in 2024,’ meaning we might not see it until late summer or early fall. This spring we just received the second part of the Atlantic City – America’s Playground, where we fought the iconic Jersey Devil, so most likely, we’ll have to wait longer for the expansion to come around.

All Fallout 76 Map Expansion Details (So Far)

We are still determining what the map expansion will entail in full detail, but the devs’ announcement includes some bits and pieces of teasers. The most exciting teaser is the picture of the upcoming area, created by Jon Rush.

The expansion will extend the map to the south, focusing on the barren wasteland of Shenandoah. The Art Director, Jon Rush’s teaser art, features a large open valley that was once filled with trees, now laid to waste. Overhead, dark clouds and a bright red cyclone covers the sky. Matching red lightning erupts from the cyclone, down to the ground on top of a large building.

The announcement shows that the expansion will include new quests and even a brand-new faction. The faction is likely the ones that inhabit this mysterious building affected by the cyclone. However, there is plenty more land to explore, besides the building. The Shenandoah National Park is one additional location, according to the collapsed sign in the art work.

The image and the comments about questlines, factions, rewards are all can go off of right now. We’re bound to receive more details as the release date gets closer, including the exact date we can expect it. Stay tuned for more information!
