Genshin Impact: Where to Find All Lost Monument Fragments for the Monumental Study Quest

The Monumental Study quest becomes available once you’ve progressed further in the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain. Specifically, you’ll want to complete As the Khvarena’s Light Shows portion. That’s the part where the Skeptic, Nasejuna, reveals his true colors.

Shortly after, you can head to the camp that’s south of the Gavireh Lajavard Statue of the Seven (roughly once you’re at the “r” in Temir Mountains on the map).

You’ll meet up with another Skeptic named Sosi, and you can tell her about what Nasejuna did.

Investigate the Fatui Camps

Sosi will lead you to a plateau in the western edge of the desert, one that has several stone altars. She’ll then mark Fatui camps on your map, so make sure you’re tracking this part of the quest.

The task is fairly straightforward, as you simply need to go to each camp, clear out the enemies, then interact with the piece of paper.

Eventually you’ll have to look for footprints, which are more like glowing triangles, until you encounter a Fatui named Markozov. Beat him and his goons to proceed to the next part.

Find the Lost Monument Fragments

This time, you’ll have to look for the four Lost Monument Fragments in Genshin Impact. A clue will be provided, and the most notable parts are:

As a land where the Pari of the Vourukasha Oasis have long dwelled.

As a land guarded by Barsom’s familiar.

As a land defended by thorns like blades.

Or as the Tunigi Catastrophe… remnants of ash and wizened husks… zenith.

These lines refer to four locations in the desert, which we’ve outlined on the map above. You can go to these spots in any order, though we’ve numbered them based on how they’re mentioned in the hints.

In any case, the Lost Monument Fragments look like diamond-shaped glyphs. However, the Lost Monument Fragments are completely invisible and you can only see them if you switch to Sorush. Once you spot them as Sorush, just glide to the object and she’ll automatically pick it up.

Use the teleporter to the south, the one that’s close to Zurvan. You’ll see it just before the tunnel that leads to the Amrita Pool.

Lost Monument Fragment #2: Hills of Barsom

Found in the hollow trunk of the giant tree. This place is also where you completed the Kory Drums Puzzle for Awakening’s Real Sound.

Lost Monument Fragment #3: Asipattravana Swamp

Go to the western edge of Asipattravana Swamp. This object is floating next to the gnarled vines at the entrance to the tunnel.

Lost Monument Fragment #4: Tunigi Hollow

The last one can be somewhat hard to acquire. You’ll need to use any above-ground teleporter, then find grapple points to help you reach the plateau north of Tunigi Hollow. From there, make your way to the tallest crag/spire in the area. Switch to Sorush and you’ll see it floating atop the spire.

After collecting all four fragments, return to Sosi at the altar area. Markozov and other Fatui goons will accost you once more, so go ahead and take them out.
