You’ll still have to wait a little while to get your results, especially if the egg is from a rare Pokemon such as Lucario, but these steps cut a good bit of time out of the wait to hatch eggs in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

How to Hatch Eggs Fast in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Normally, you’ll have to walk a set number of steps before you can hatch eggs, and the number changes depending on the Pokemon species.

You can make it faster by riding a bicycle, particularly through Sinnoh’s Cycling Road near Eterna City. One tile forward with the bike counts as two steps, so you’ll drastically reduce the time it takes to hatch eggs.

The other way to hatch eggs fast is by adding a Pokemon with the Flame Body ability to your team. These include:

  • Ponyta
  • Rapidash
  • Slugma
  • Macargo
  • Camerupt
  • Magmar
  • Magmortar

The Pokemon can be anywhere in the party and doesn’t have to be near the egg for the ability to work.

You can check the Pokemon’s status to see how close the egg is to hatching or use the Egg Watch Pokemon Watch app from the Nursery to check on it.

Pokemon you hatch from eggs automatically have higher friendship than those you catch in the wild, so you’ll have less work to do if you want to make them like you. You can also take a wander through the Grand Underground if you want more areas to take a walk and grab some treasures while you’re at it.
