LEGO Fortnite: How to Get Heavy Wool and Make Heavy Wool Thread

You’ll discover plenty of materials to craft with in LEGO Fortnite. Heavy Wool is an essential material for making Heavy Wool Thread, but finding the resource isn’t as clear as we’d like it to be. Find out how to get and make Heavy Wool in LEGO Fortnite here.

Where to Find Heavy Wool in LEGO Fortnite

You’ll come across sheep in the Grasslands early in LEGO Fortnite. Unfortunately, you won’t get wool from them. With my base camp surrounded by them, I tested out several methods to get it. First, I tried befriending them with pets but didn’t receive Wool. I regretfully slayed them next, only to receive Standard Wool. After giving up and exploring the biomes, I discovered you can only find Heavy Wool in the Frostlands biome in Caves or loot chests.

How to Get to the Frostlands

The only way to safely venture to the Frostlands biome is to consume food or wear Charms for cold resistance. The easiest way to boost cold resistance is to harvest Spicy Peppers from the Dry Valley or find them as drops from loot llamas. Of course, the better alternative is the Inner Fire Charm, but that takes a bit more effort to come by.

To get the Charm, you’ll need to upgrade your Crafting Bench to Level 3 (Rare). You’ll then need these materials:

• x8 Brightcore
• x3 Blast Core
• x3  Wool Thread
• x5 Cut Ruby

The Inner Fire Charm will increase your resistance to Cold and give you four bonus hearts. Considering enemies will be tougher to tackle in the Frostlands, I highly recommend you seek out this Charm if you plan to frequent the biome.

How to Make Heavy Wool Thread

You can easily craft Heavy Wool Thread at the Spinning Wheel in LEGO Fortnite. The recipe has a 1:1 ratio, so for every Heavy Wool you deposit, you’ll receive one Heavy Wool Thread in return. Here’s the recipe for the Spinning Wheel.
