There are dozens of T courses in MKT, but you'll need to choose the right one for hitting a score of 8,000 or higher in Mario Kart Tour.

Wondering how to earn a score of 8,000 or higher on a T course challenge in the latest round of Mario Kart Tour achievements?

Most levels have a “T” variant later on in the cup, but those intersections aren’t found in the early courses. Instead, you will need to keep playing to unlock them.

Let’s take a look at the specific T courses available, and then see which ones are most likely to get the highest score for this MKT challenge.

How To Earn 8,000 Or Higher On A T Course

First things first: we need to know which courses qualify for the challenge. Here are all the T marked courses currently available as of the New Year Tour:

  • Bowser’s Castle 1T
  • Cheep Cheep Lagoon R/T
  • Choco Island 2T
  • Daisy Hills T
  • Daisy Hills R/T
  • Dino Dino Jungle T
  • DK Pass T
  • Ghost Valley 1T
  • Kalimari Desert T
  • Kalimari Desert R/T
  • Koopa Troopa Beach T
  • London Loop T
  • London Loop R/T

  • Mario Circuit 1T
  • Mario Circuit R/T
  • Mario Circuit 1R/T
  • Mario Circuit 2R/T
  • Mario Circuit 3T
  • Neo Bowser City T
  • Neo Bowser City R/T
  • New York Minute 2R/T
  • Paris Promenade T
  • Paris Promenade R/T
  • Rainbow Road T
  • Rock Rock Mountain T
  • Shy Guy Bazaar T
  • Toad Circuit T
  • Toad Circuit R/T
  • Tokyo Blur T
  • Tokyo Blur 2T
  • Tokyo Blur 2R/T
  • Waluigi Pinball T
  • Yoshi Circuit R/T

Any of those courses will work for the challenge. But to earn a score of 8,000 or higher, use one of the favored drivers so you can hit a frenzy and skyrocket your score.

On that front, Lakitu has the highest number of T variant favored courses, so he gives you the most levels to work with. If you’ve memorized the layouts of the Mario Circuit or Waluigi Pinball levels, he’s the way to go.

If you don’t have the top-tier favored driver for any of the T courses (or you get unlucky and never pull a frenzy), you need to do this challenge the old-fashioned way. Keep your combo going and never let it drop down to 0.

Choco Island 2T is a great spot for this because of its jump boosts, and Shy Guy Bazaar T is another solid choice since you can hit so many pots and coins to keep your combo going between using items.

If your combo is about to run dry, don’t forget you can use an item ticket to pull an item without actually hitting a box.

Here’s the full list of favored drivers and their T courses where you can pull 3 items at a time to potentially get a frenzy:
