Payday 3: How Many Skill Points Can You Earn?

There are a lot of skills for you to spec into in Payday 3. But you can’t just put points into all of them. Getting them is a massive time investment. You’ll be gaining Infamy as you do heists, and as you gain notoriety, you’ll receive skill points to allocate across the game’s 100+ abilities. How Many Skill Points Can You Earn in Payday 3?

Between the 17 skill trees in Payday 3, there are 105 skills, not counting each tree’s mastery for researching an entire skill tree. You might expect to get a whole heap of skill points to allocate as you see fit, but this is a game of specialization. You can’t do everything all at once, though that’s offset by the ability to respec your skills between heists. You can do everything separately instead.

By increasing your Infamy up to Level 100, you can earn up to 21 skill points to place into skill nodes and research. After Infamy Level 100, you won’t be gaining more skill points. Though, this is also offset by the ability to reallocate skill points as you see fit rather than permanently being locked into a build.

How to Earn Infamy Faster in Payday 3

You’ll want to get those skill points quickly and make sure you have research running on the nodes you want. You don’t just want to do heists to gain Infamy You’ll need to be completing challenges as well. Keep up with your challenges to keep your Infamy gains up. The faster you level, the faster you’ll rake in those 21 skill points.
