This seed will give you easy access to four unique Trail Ruins structures. Players will also have access to a ruined Nether portal, a Pillager Outpost, and two Ancient Cities in the same area. Those looking to gather ocean ruins-specific archaeology items will find a few Cold Ocean Ruins in the ocean to the north.

If you’re looking to live a life of luxury between pink petals and buzzing honeybees, the Cherry Grove biome is the place you’ll want to be. Players will spawn next to a small one in this biome, but I recommend walking 100 blocks to the west to enter a much larger one. Walk all the way to its western edge to discover a Plains Village and a Savanna Village. As a bonus, players exploring underground in this area have a chance to find an Ancient City.

Key Locations and their Coordinates
Plains Village: -838, 14
Savanna Village: -920, -440
Ancient City: -616, -42, 128

Desert Blacksmith behind a Desert Temple

A Desert Temple has appeared in the center of a Desert Village. The inside of the temple is dark, allowing monsters to spawn and terrorize the villagers. Luckily, you can solve this problem by crafting a few torches and lighting up the temple. The villagers will gladly reward your aid by allowing you to take weapons and armor from their Blacksmith’s chest. If you want to explore the new archaeology functions introduced by the 1.20 update, use the village as a waypoint and swim into the ocean to excavate a few Warm Ocean Ruins.

Key Locations and their Coordinates
Desert Temple: 120, 98
Desert Temple in Desert Village: -455, -246
Warm Ocean Ruin Cluster 1: -296, -616

Java players can explore the best of Minecraft archaeology in this seed. The Jungle along the coast is home to a set of Trail Ruins, while the Lukewarm Ocean surrounding it contains four different Warm Ocean Ruins structures close to the coast. Having so many Warm Ocean Ruins will make it easy for players to gather all of the treasures specific to the Warm Ocean Ruins, ranging from Sniffer Eggs to special armor trims.

Excavating a set of Trail Ruins is the best way to get the Minecraft 1.20 experience. You’ll find this set of Trail Ruins next to a ruined Nether portal, only a few hundred blocks from Spawn. The hill they rest on should contain enough copper to craft brushes, so you’ll only need to worry about getting feathers from wild chickens.

Key Locations and their Coordinates
Trail Ruins: -355, 109
Ruined Nether Portal: -332, 101

Triple Plains Village at Spawn

Warm Ocean Ruins were finally given more use in Minecraft 1.20 through the addition of archaeology. When you spawn into this Desert, you’ll be next to a giant Warm Ocean with an expansive Coral Reef and plenty of Warm Ocean Ruins. There are three Warm Ocean Ruin clusters between the continent’s shore and a small Desert island, a few single ruins between those, and even more clusters to the southeast. I recommend visiting the Desert Village on the mainland first to loot a Blacksmith for some iron gear.

  • Version: Java
  • Spawn: -2, -74
  • Biomes: Dark Forest, Lush Cave

Here’s a truly unique seed that spawns you between a Woodland Mansion and a gigantic ravine. The Woodland Mansion is in a canyon, causing part of it to extend into the walls of the ravine. This makes the Mansion much easier to take on since you can climb onto the roof and use its windows to enter specific rooms. If you choose to enter the ravine, you’ll find that it’s home to both a Lush Cave and an Ancient City.

Key Locations and their Coordinates

It is home to 12 different chests of buried treasure, giving you plenty of rewards like diamonds and Hearts of the Sea. You’ll also find a few more chests beneath the beaches east of the Mansion and the Stony Shores to the south.

Plains Villages are abundant in this Minecraft world. You’ll spawn between two with another pair of villages to the north and various other villages scattered around the east and the south. By exploring the caves around the area, you’ll come across a unique Ancient City. The portal at its center has generated in a pool of lava, causing lava to flow over the city’s main streets.

Separated island villages

Two Plains Villages make their home on this survival island. They were likely built so far apart because of disagreements between the villagers, but each provides plenty of materials necessary for survival. Make peace between the villagers and combine their towns to live a comfortable island life. The main continent is close to the island if you ever tire of this seed’s ocean view.

Key Locations and their Coordinates
Plains Village 1: 790, -361

  • Version: Java
  • Spawn: -4, -6
  • Biomes: Taiga, Meadow

This Woodland Mansion was generated at the tip of a Dark Forest by Spawn, causing it to merge with a Taiga Village. On first glance, the village seems to have been built around the Mansion. However, exploring the Mansion reveals that parts of the town have developed inside the Mansion, making for a truly unique experience. Players exploring deeper into the Taiga biome will find Trail Ruins and an ocean with Cold Ocean Ruins.

Hilltop ruins

One fun and creative way to play with the Trail Ruins added in Minecraft 1.20 is to fully excavate them so they can be seen from the surface. Since this ruin structure is on top of a hill, it will be much easier and safer to excavate than ruins that extend deep into the ground. Next to Spawn and the Trail Ruins is a ruined Nether portal. The portal’s chest contains a few obsidian, so all you need to do is collect one additional obsidian block and a flint-and-steel to repair it.

Key Locations and their Coordinates
Ruined Nether portal: 3, 65
Trail Ruins: 62, 95
