Mario Kart Tour Guide: Earn a Score of 7,000 Using a Driver With a Mustache

Completing the mustache challenge will come down to the dumb luck of pulling a handful of rare drivers from the Mario Kart Tour pipe.

A whole new week of challenges have hit Mario Kart Tour for Halloween, including such ludicrous feats as earning a score of 7,000 or higher using a driver with a mustache.

Thankfully, the mustache lineup has expanded quite a bit this week with the addition of new drivers. Unfortunately, all of them are very rare pulls and their chances of appearing in the shop are low.

Hitting account level 12 increases the likelihood of one showing up in the randomized shop slots however, since you get 12 possible choices instead of just three.

Earning 7,000 Points Using A Driver With A Mustache

Like with the driver wearing a shell challenge, this one is super easy to complete in the Koopa Troopa Beach track… if you happen to have pulled normal Mario.

He’s the least rare of all the super rare mustached drivers, and the Koopa Troopa Beach course is very simple to complete with a high score.

If you get two frenzies, you are virtually guaranteed to get more than 7,000 points in that level even if you otherwise perform poorly.

Here’s the best way to hit 7,000 points with Mario and complete the challenge:

  • Course: Koopa Troopa Beach (Luigi Cup)
    • Kart 1: Koopa Dasher
    • Kart 2: Gold Blooper
    • Kart 3: Poltergust 4000
    • Glider 1: Pirahna Plant Parafoil
    • Glider 2: Peach Parasol
    • Glider 3: Waluigi Wing

If you pulled any of the other mustached drivers you really have your pick of courses to get a score of 7,000 or higher as they all have far more favored tracks than more common drivers.

To hit the requisite score, just kick off the match with a rocket start, use super turbo boosts, hit as many jump boosts as possible, line yourself up to collect multiple coins at once, and if necessary use item tickets to pull off more hit combos.
