So what is a 1-man squad in PUBG? You can play solo, but this time against other squads that may consist of more than one player, which is a truly challenging idea when you think about it. If you want to know how to do well in this unique mode, then follow our tips and tricks below.

Tip #1: Do Not Engage

One of the most frequent reasons why people so easily die in the 1-man squad mode is that they simply get outnumbered and outpowered against 2-, 3-, or 4-player squads.

So the first rule of the 1-man squad is to not engage in the shootout, but wait before other squads deal with each other, when there are a lot less players left to deal with. Then, you can move forward and take out your opponents one by one without too much hassle.

Tip #2: Choose Vantage Point

Of course, in order to be able to do this, you should choose a good vantage point, such as a hill or a building that lets you see every other squad in the distance.

Learn their positions and act accordingly. Remember, the more information you have about your enemies, the more advantage you will have over them. One man can do so much by just being prepared.

Tip #3: Avoid Open Areas

It is absolutely essential to have a good cover when dealing with other squads in PUBG. Be sure to avoid any open areas, and move in the perimeter of urban settings.

There is no shame in being passive while playing as a 1-man squad. If you can be patient and strike at the right time, this strategy will have the best payoff.

Tip #4: Change Positions

Never let your enemies detect you or spot you in one place, and always change your positions. Make sure that you see them, but they don’t see you — this is the best position to be in.

Also, if you come upon downed players, always finish them off so that their squadmates won’t be able to rescue them and you don’t have to deal with them later.

Hopefully, these tips and tricks will help you win in this super exciting mode, and do try it out, as it grants better loot than other modes. And in case you need other PUBG guides, take a look at the list below:
