Berkanan Sap is one of many new crafting ingredients added to Final Fantasy XIV with the Endwalker release. Used in a number of Alchemy recipes, such as Grade 5 Tinctures and the Ascorbic Additive and Rarefield Draught Collectibles, crafters looking to seed their endgame static or Free Company will need to get used to the process of obtaining this material.
How to Get Berkanan Sap in Final Fantasy XIV
Berkanan Sap comes from an enemy of the same name, Berkanan, found in the fields of Labyrinthos after arriving in Old Sharlayan.
Berkanans can be found around the coordinates (X:6.8,Y:21.0), which is closest to the Aporia Aetheryte. The drop isn’t guaranteed, but you can farm them this way.
You can also get Berkanan Sap by trading in Bicolor Gemstones at the Gemstone Traders in Labyrinthos, Radz-at-Han, and Old Sharlayan. It costs two Bicolor Gemstones for one Bernanan Sap. They’re obtained by grinding on FATEs in Shadowbringers and Endwalker areas.
There’s one final way of earning Berkanan Sap, and that’s through Levequests in Old Sharlayan. Talk to Ahldiyrn (X:12.3, Y:13.4) and take on the quests “Technically Still Magic” and “Mindful.” Completing these will reward you with Berkanan Sap. This is by far the least efficient method and is not recommended if you do need to actually farm Berkanan Sap.
If all else fails and you’ve got deep pockets, you can buy Berkanan Sap off the Market Board. Though the sap will likely be expensive for some time thanks to its use in Grade 5 Tinctures, which endgame raiders drink like water.
