Honkai Star Rail: Best Build, Light Cones and Teams for Seele

Here are the best builds, relics, teams, and more for Seele in Honkai Star Rail.

Seele is, without a doubt, the most powerful single-target character currently available in Honkai Star Rail. , and you’ll want to know her best build, the best Light Cones to use, and the best teams to build around her. If done correctly, she can single-handedly clear entire groups of enemies on her own. If you surround her with a team that improves her damage and survivability, even being a glass cannon won’t be able to keep her down.

Best Seele Build in Honkai: Star Rail

Seele is a damage monster, able to chunk down boss health better than any other character. Moreover, she has the highest base Speed currently available and can take multiple turns through her Resurgence Talent. As a DPS, your focus for this Seele build should center around three things:

  • Crit Damage and Crit %: As high as Seele’s base damage is, the higher you can take her ability to crit, and how much a crit increases her damage, the better off she’ll be.
  • ATK% and Quantum Damage: As a main DPS, building for Attack will always be one of Seele’s primary goals. When farming for her Relics nad Light Cones and choosing her Traces, it serves little to no purpose if it doesn’t somehow increase her outgoing damage. Anything that increases her Quantum Damage is icing on the cake.
  • Speed: The more you can improve Seele’s already ridiculous speed, the more effective she becomes.

Defense and HP are also important for Seele, as she’s a bit squishy thanks to being on the Path of the Hunt. But the team you build around Seele should do more of the protecting. You should do some light farming for her Relics when you only have access to purple-rarity items, but the real grind arrives when you reach Equilibrium 3.

Best Relics for Seele

The best relics for Seele come in two core Relic sets, and both of them are all about increasing her damage output. Break Effect, Defense, Speed, and HP are tertiary concerns at best. Don’t waste too much time with the Caverns of Corrosion or Simulated Universe at first, as Trailblaze Energy is a precious resource best used carefully, but you’ll want a full collection of both of these Relics for Seele in Honkai: Star Rail.

The Genius of Brilliant Stars: Genius’s Set

The main draw of this Relic set is the flat 10% Quantum Damage boost with two pieces equipped. The four-piece set is even better, as Seele will ignore the first 10% of an enemy’s Defense stat and then an additional 10% if they’re weak to Quantum damage. Luckily for everything with Seele on the team, more than 50% of the enemies in HSR are weak to Quantum damage, and all the others will still feel the pain.

Muskateer of the Wild Wheat: Muskateer’s Set

It’s a bit of a vanilla choice, but the Muskateer’s set is still an excellent option for Seele, especially in the early game. Two pieces provide a flat 12% increase to her Attack stat, and the four-piece set gives her both a 6% Speed boost and increases her Basic Attack damage by another 10%. Seele should be using her Skill and Ultimate more than her Basic, so I recommend only having two Muskateer pieces alongside two Genius Pieces until you can manage a full Genius set.

Best Light Cones for Seele

There are many great choices for Hunt Light Cones, and even some fantastic 4-star options. What you use will always come down to what you have access to and how much you’re willing to farm/pull at the Warp gacha system. These are the best Light Cones for Seele.

In the Night (5-Star Cone)

Not surprisingly, Seele’s best Light Cone is the one that released alongside her in the limited banner. Between an 18% increase to her Crit Rate and a 6% damage increase to her Skill per 10 Speed points over 100, there are almost no downsides here.

Additionally, her Ultimate gains a 12% damage increase based on her Speed, and the effect can stack a whopping six times, meaning if you can get Seele’s Speed to 160, her Ultimate can be 72% stronger. The only caveat: you need to be lucky and pull her limited Light Cone Warp, so save up that Stellar Jade if you care enough to.

Subscribe for More! (4-Star Light Cone)

Influencer reference aside, the Subscribe for More Light Cone is one of the best options currently available for Hunt characters. It increases both Seele’s Basic Attack and Skill damage by 24% and then by an additional 24% if her Ultimate is charged. As one of Seele’s aces in the hole is her ability to chain Ultimates, you won’t get the most benefit out of this Light Cone about half the time, but when its ability is up, expect major DPS.

Only Silence Remains (4-Star Cone)

While not as immediately interesting as Subscribe for More!, this Light Cone’s abilities are much more passive and apply to her Ultimate as well. Only Silence Remains gives a flat 16% buff to Seele’s attack, and when she’s against two or fewer enemies, her Crit Rate improves by 12%, making her already high boss damage even better.

Darting Arrow (3-Star Cone)

An actually worthwhile 3-star Light Cone for Seele if you have nothing else. Whenever Seele defeats an enemy, she gets a 12% Attack boost for 3 turns. Not as good as her other options here, but usable in a pinch.

Best Seele Traces to Upgrade

True to her kit, the only Seele Traces you should invest in are those that either make her faster or increase her damage in some way. These are the most important:

  • Butterfly Fury: The higher this Trace’s level, the more damage Seele’s Ultimate does.
  • Sheathed Blade: For a damage boost to her Skill and two-turn Speed boost, upgrade this Trace.
  • Resurgence: This Trace improves the damage

Best Seele Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

There are a few schools of thought when building the best Seele team. You can go for the “hypercarry” strategy, where the entire team’s focus is buffing Seele and keeping her alive. You could go for Speed Seele, where you combine character abilities that Slow enemies and speed up your allies. Or you can go survivability, where Seele still deals massive damage, but the team around her is built to stay alive at all costs. Here are the character setups for each strategy:

Hypercarry Seele Team

  • DPS: Seele
  • Buff: Tingyun, Bronya
  • Support: Natasha/Bailu

Speedy Seele

  • DPS: Seele
  • Buff/Debuff: Welt, Asta
  • Support: Natasha/Bailu

Survivability Seele

  • DPS: Seele
  • Buff: Fire Trailblazer, Gepard
  • Support: Bailu/Natasha
