If you want to raise your Cooking skill in Palia quickly, the best way is to craft a bunch of different dishes. You’ll want to know all the recipes so you can use a variety of ingredients each time you cook, as well as be able to fulfill all villagers’ Weekly Wants. Most of them can be bought, but there are some you need to go looking for. Here’s how to get all recipes in Palia.
How to Get All Recipes in Palia
There are four ways to obtain a recipe:
- You can receive them as gifts.
- You can buy them from vendors.
- You can find them on your travels.
- You can fish them up.
Gifted Recipes
At the beginning of the game when you’re just starting to learn Cooking, Auni points you in the direction of Reth. He’s the head of the Cooking Guild in the village and can be found at the Ormuu’s Horn tavern or in the premium clothing store.
Speaking with Reth the first time nets you the Grilled Mushroom recipe. The day after you tell him you made Grilled Mushrooms he’ll send you three more recipes through the mail.
- Grilled Meat
- Grilled Fish
- Grilled Oyster
While not a gift per say, completing the Vault of Waves Freshwater Bundle will reward you with the Bouillabaisse recipe. Completing the Vault of the Flames Sear-Chef Bundle rewards you with Spicy Rice Cakes.

Buying Recipes
To buy recipes, you’ll have to get Cooking to Level 2. This unlocks the Cooking Guild store with Reth. Interacting with him allows you to bring up the store, which features the main bulk of recipes currently available.
