LEGO Fortnite: How to Upgrade a Rare Axe to Epic

As you collect more materials from the world, you’ll realize your tools just won’t cut it. Literally. You’ll need to upgrade them. Getting better tools isn’t hard, but there are quite a few steps. In this guide, I’ll tell you how to upgrade a Rare Axe in LEGO Fortnite.

Rare Axe Upgrade: How to Get the Epic Forest Axe in LEGO Fortnite

As you might suspect, each time you upgrade your Crafting Bench, you’ll unlock more upgrades for your tools like the Forest Axe. Each tool upgrade will allow you to get better materials, increase durability, and improve efficiency. 

So before you upgrade your Rare Forest Axe, you’ll need to upgrade your Crafting Bench to the Epic level. This is the third and final version of it.

To improve your Crafting Bench rarity to Epic, you’ll need: 

• x1 Brute Scale
• x15 Copper Bars
• x25 Obsidian Slabs

How Upgrading the Forest Axe Works

When you want to upgrade to a more powerful tool, you don’t need to have the previous version of it. You only need the raw materials listed to make the better version. This is the best variation of the Forest Axe and my personal favorite looking tool in the game. 

Epic Forest Axe Crafting Recipe

Now that you’ve upgraded your bench, you can make an Epic Forest Axe. To make an Epic Forest Axe, you’ll need: 

• x3 Copper Bar
• x3 Knotroot Rod 

Copper can be tricky to get since it can only be found in Lava Caves. You’ll need to explore the desert biome, Dry Valley, to find these special caves. You can find the nodes inside, though you’ll need to bring along items that protect from heat, such as the Cool-Headed Charm.
